Hi there - I have just downloaded XOOPS and cannot wait to start using it. I have what I am sure is a simple problem. After setting up the site the hyperlink to my home page does not conatain file just http://localhost/xoops I am sure at some point in the set up process I should have put index.php somewhere, but not sure when.

Can someone let me know in which file ( db table) the default homepage address is set?

You may have your XOOPS install in a subfolder - try http://localhost/xoops-2.0.7/html/ or something like that. Check your path to your XOOPS install.

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't appear to be the problem. It is looking at the right directory and folder but for some reason it is not populating index.php in the url. For instance when I click on contact I get http://...xoops/modules/contact/ rather than http://...xops/modules/contact/index.php as the hyperlink.

I figured out my problem after sleeping on it. I realised that my fodlers had not been set up to recognise index.php as a default file. I tried .htaccess, which did not work as I am on a local set up using windows xp and iis. In the end I solved by going to IIS, and setting my XOOPS directory to have index.php as a default file. Now all appears to work well
