The point is: Why are they not official modules? Why do I have to try dozens of guestbooks, calendars, Content Management Modules?

And XOOPS is everything but not a content management system. Typo3 is a content mangagement system - all PHPNuke decendants (PostNuke, XOOPS etc.) are portal systems!

Mhhhh .... thinking ....

A shoutbox in the right block could be a nice tool for a members small talk while surfing on the side ...

Thus i feel shoutbox has become a great need for today.. and i hope to see it coming up soon. I agree till date most of the shoutbox have been behaving crapy with xoops...

My current forum (non-Xoops) has a shoutbox. I thought it was a silly feature at first, but some of my members really like it. So in one sense, it's just another feature to encourage people to visit your site.

What are you talking about? There is a working shoutbox..
The one I have installed, I have no idea where I found it, but it's Shoutbox version 0.91 and the credits list "The XOOPS project" written by alphalogic, modified by N. Petreley

YES!!!Finally there is someone who knows it...
Cmon..can somebody modify the code for Exoops (from alphalogic site) to Xoops???
Just modify...not develope from scracth..
