I'm unsure as to whether this is a newbb error, or what, as I seem to get it in other parts of my install..

But this is what I find in my logs lately:
File does not exist: /public_html/reguser/Frameworks/textsanitizer/xoops.jsrefererhttp://infernallogic.com/reguser/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=10&forum=6

Can't locate any xoops.js file. Am I missing the file, or is it an error?

Just upgraded from 2.4.3 to 2.4.4 and didn't generate the error with previous install.

Thanks.

Ok, I found the file in the "include" folder and copied it to the frameworks/textsanitizer folder..

Not generating the error any longer.. Why wasn't the file already there?

It's not like I removed any files.. hehehe

It is the same with the full 2.4.4 build, ie not the upgrade, is it a bug with 2.4.4 or with what calls it?

Where is it within the 2.4.5 build?

It should not be at that place. Seems something composed a wrong URL for that file.
Can you find the reference to that xoops.js in the html source of your browser? What does it say?

I'll have to have a dig around tonight (on shifts) it was only my webstats that brought my attention to it, the site runs without throwing up an error when it wasn't there,

I haven't found it in the source for a page yet, it is always the include/ one called .

However if it isn't in the textsanitizer/ I get blank debug windows, when clicking on several entries in my main menu.

It's very odd, more digging required I think

Re: xoops.js missing?

For xoops there should be a xoops.js in the include folder, back (i dont remember the amount of time) the Frameworks package was a separate package from xoops and had its own xoop.js file. it is probably one of the original modules that needed Frameworks. probably CBB the viewtopic.php file.

The inclusion of this xoops.js is inserted in /modules/newbb/viewpost.php and viewtopic.php
// To enable image auto-resize by js
$xoops_module_header .= '.XOOPS_URL.'/Frameworks/textsanitizer/xoops.js" type="text/javascript">';

You could comment out this line, as it is already included by the header.
So, it is no problem of the XOOPS version or upgrade.

That's the first time I hear about this causing blank pages.

However the intention was to include the JavaScripts for CaricaFoto. If you have problems with the resizing of images in your posts, you should replace /Frameworks/textsanitizer/xoops.js by /class/textsanitizer/image/image.js

The newbb install instructions talked about installing Frameworks, but this is no longer needed, because 2.4.x has all the required Frameworks. Make sure you have the files that came with the core. Check it with the file check (see release notes) when in doubt.

So If I read this correctly the Frameworks folder under my main directory for the site should no longer be present?

Would it be likely that other modules than CBB 3.08 be using Frameworks? such as Articles 1.03.

I am at work so can't access source forge to check files and can't browse the folderrs I downloaded as they at at home.

No, all I'm saying is that the newbb module does no longer need to install Frameworks, because it will use what is already available with the standard XOOPS installation.

If other modules need additional Frameworks (subdirectories), make sure not to overwrite the existing ones.
