Well I feel dumb but the issue was resolved.. Here is what i did for anyone else having this issue...

First I cmod all the xoops_data/caches to 777 (thought I had done that, but guess in my wisywig plug and play attitude I might have overlooked it.)

Then I went to forum, still blank..

Then I went to the Modules page under admin and updated the system module and then the CBB module.

Presto.. The CBB Module works almost perfectly now. but i get the following error....

Errors
Notice: Constant _MI_THEMESET already defined in file /modules/newbb/language/english/modinfo.php line 275

in my tireless clicking of this and that I more than likely made redundantly clicked a theme select somewhere.. Any suggestions would be great.

I found on a fresh install that I had to convert alot of the icons to .png as they were missing. Wierd as it was downloaded from here and noone ever mentioned it. But many of the images needed converted to .png

Hope that helps, I just opened all the .jpg images that didnt have .png in GIMP and saved em as .png and it resolved the issue.

I have been fighting with CBB for weeks and no luck. I did fresh install of Xoops, and a fresh install of Wordpress and CBB. I got everything to finially work except when you click on New Topic Its blank... Is it possibly an editor issue? I am really frustrated and just have no idea what the issue might be. It was an issue from the fresh install and I havnt modified any templates or anything. Any suggestions? I've looked everywhere and cant find a solution.

Hey, I am having a similar problem you mentioned, i decided to post that issue in a new topic but cant delete this post. Answer to missing images below

I am new to XOOPS and this is a new experience. I want to put a news slider like gameportal on my site and I got the one in gameportal to work, but it wont show images in the box up above. I have looked at the sql databases and tried about everything (for now I uploaded a new image as blank.gif just to display something there).

Has anyone got this to work? In publisher under articals theres an image tab, and other, but they have nothing there as far as entering anything.

Any help would be great. I have seen it working on Rose Club portal (URL:http://www.hqmm.net), but I just cant figure it out.. Learned alot tinkering around, but havnt solved this issue.

I figured it out.. For anyone trying to get the scroller to work in the gameportal theme, here is the way to do it...

install the publisher module.
in the publisher permissions, select webmaster sees all options on articals, then the Image section works to upload or use images you have already added in the images catagories.
