Is it possible to rewrite URLs in order to remove the .php from the URL? I'd like to use a friendlier URL structure that is easier to remember.

Hi,

I'm reviewing Xoops for a new site build. I'm having a look at its featureset to make sure it's a good fit for the job.

I want to add a news section to the site that will list items by category and display the number of items present in each category. This would populate as a list of categories in a sub-navigation menu, leading through to a list of items in the category.

Would this require custom coding or could it be handled natively? If needed, I can post a link as an example of what I mean?
