Thanks a lot, I finally got it to work.
I think it was the process you have to go trough to actually upload a picture that confused me:

1. Make a category in the admin site where eveyrnboyd is allowed to create albums.

2. Create a album in the webapp.

3. Upload pictures to one of your albums.

I guess that's what you told me all a long, but sometimes the brain just seems to lock itself onto a certain way of thinking..

xCgallery seems to be serving the purpose fine, thanks :)
Except I can't figure out how to upload pictures??
Where's the upload-option??
Any examples of it working fine anywhere?
Maybe I'm just tired, I don't know..
I tested both 2.0.2 and 2.0.3.
I feel a little retarded right now :oP

When it comes to guestbooks, I don't remember excatly which ones I've tried, 'cause there's been a couple of weeks now and I tried several, but I think I've been trough alot from this site and I also checked out the Wordpress blog-module.

I don't really want a blog, though, just an individual guestbook for every user (like a userpage.)
I'm building a community and want the users to be able to communicate via their individual guestbooks.

Anybody know of any modules which work wither newer versions of XOOPS and give each user an INDIVIDUAL guestbook and INDIVIDUAL gallery?
Tried a couple from this site but either they don't give each user their own guestbook/gallery or they only work with old versions.

Any help is appriciated! :)

The ZIP-archive of the Wordpress-module seems to be broken. Anybody know of a mirror?

Thanks alot!
Wanted it as a variable like trabis wrote.

(Sorry if I'm not presenting the issue correctly. As I said, i'm pretty new to this. (I find it awesome, though!))

I'm trying to alter a module and need a function that retrieve the username of the user currently logged in.

I've tried reading a tutorial about module developement and looking at the code of userprofile.php, but I'm a pretty inexperienced coder and XOOPS is much more complicated than anything I've modified before.

This might belong in the Module developement section, but I think this might be pretty easy to figure out for some of you, so I'm posting here first.

So, anybody know the easiest way to do this?

(You don't have to explain how to build a module, just what code I need for this one thing.)

Thanx guys!

Downloaded and installed the xjpirc module, but it was extremely simple (It works, but it would be nice to retrive uid automatically as nick etc.) . Hopefully I can make some enhancements :)

This is a question from the FAQ, and that's cool, but all the links to external sites are broken;
https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=172

Is that information available anywhere else?
