Hum I see and I have to thank you you point a thing that I've forget!

The probleme is the number of topics on my website. 2 or 3 years ago I've found a probleme with this bloc and the organisation of my site.

I have like 250/300 differents topics or if you select more than 100, the update of the bloc bug... I've found, on frxoops I think, a solution, I've selected none of the topics and this let me select all topics.

So I've have a solution for tonight and I thank you, I'll check my archive on frxoops to find out who to refix this.

Hi everyone,

I use on my website, the module News, and on the home page the bloc "recent news" (or top news)

It worked for years, but yesterday, I have changed the name of this bloc for SEO. I only change is name, and now the bloc disappears.

I've clear cache etc., I've change the template, the bloc is checked "visible" but don't want to show anymore.

I've clone the bloc... => nothing.

I also test the "top news" bloc who is probably the same, but nothing. Other blocs works fine, I can edit other bloc, even "news" bloc like random new.

But Top news and recent doesn't want to show anymore.

Anyone have an idea ? I'll go crazy with this :s

Thanks a lot for people who will help me, and sorry for my english ;)

Hi,

I'd like to limit number of caractere for some blocks like "recent comment"

For some blocks there is on option in the admin, but for two blocks (recent comment and the last post in CBB3.08) don't have that option?!

For a better look of my home, I'd like to be sure that in this two blocks I will never 2 line for à comment.

Sorry for my english ^^

Hi,

I'm using for my site the Lifetypes blog module.

I would like to add the google analytics tracker on it but everytime I'm trying to put the tracker code, I have an smarty error with wich says :

"This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

You can provide the following information to the administrators of this site to help them solve the problem:

Error: Smarty error: [in ./themes//spollo_bela/header.template line 27]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'var' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 590)"

I've been trying to resolve that for hour but I don't understand how... Can someone help me ?

Thanks, cya.

(btw sorry for my english)

I have made a screenshot to show you the customised block :

As you can see, you can follow your discussions everywhere, without the need to check every time your forums.

Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce you a feature that makes the "mesdiscussion.net" forums (french forums) absolutely awesome and that I think would make XOOPS and CBB 4 the best platforms of discussion/forums.

Maybe you already know the "flag" system as we call it in France. Everytime you read a topic, it is automatically marked with a red flag. If you answer it, it is marked with a blue flag. As soon as someone answers in a topic that you've read (red flag) or in which you answered (blue flag), the flag gets more colorful, so you know at once if anyone answered the corresponding topic. It pops to your eyes. If you click the flag, you directly reach where you had stopped (reading or writing) which allows you to follow the different conversations in a more intuitive way than with the basic CBB.

Some websites (like www.tomsguide.fr) for example developped a personnalised space on the page, in a block, that make the all experience even better. In this space on the page, you can see a list of all the topics you participated in and where there are new contributions you haven't read yet. This list is permanently and automaticaly updating. As soon as you click on a topic you were following to read it's new content, it disapears from the list untill new contributions are brought to it.

It doesn't look like it's that awesome the way I present it to you but it completely modifies the user's experience on the website and I think that this kind of feature could be a huge plus for Xoops.

I hope that someone will be able to develop this kind of feature for use in Xoops/CBB. I personnaly can't as I don't have the necessary skills.

Thanks a lot for reading and sorry about the English if there are too many mistakes. The friend I asked to translate this text tried to do his best.

See ya ^^

[I don't know if I ask that a the right place, if you have an idea for a better place to ask that, please tell me i'll do)
