I will have many topics that require static HTML pages. I would like to install a content modules for each major topic.

Just use Pico. You just rename the folder to make a new instance. Easy.

Cool, big improvement. I had to dump this module previously because my ISP kept shutting down my site for overloading their MySQL server!

1. Go to system / admin / modules, there is a button to deactivate each module, then a 'uninstall' button will become visible. After you uninstall each module it will appear at the bottom of the list in an 'not installed' area. AFTER you have uninstalled a module you can delete its folder from the /module directory safely. Do not delete an active module!

2. Use a static content module like Pico to make a custom html page, post your links in that.

Another problem with this module is that it is really, really heavy on database queries. If you have a site with a lot of users online it can really increase the load a lot (although maybe caching the block for a short period would help).

You need to hack the module.

I have no opinion about Azamba posts. But I do not understand why xunil's post was edited. It was not bad. The truth is the truth, you don't have to like it, but you do have to deal with it.

Don't delete people's posts just because it is not 'sugar'. It is wrong.

From memory, I set up .htaccess a couple of years ago. But never have any problem with that. Why would it intefere with login?

When I login to my XOOPS site it shows the ‘thank you’ splash screen and then redirects me to a random page in my site. Clearing out the cache stops it happening for a while, but it comes back later.

Does anyone know how to stop this? It is like the session gets mixed up or something. I tried to turn off regenerate session ID but that kills my site.

I am stuck now, does anyone know what could be wrong?
First noticed this in XOOPS 2.0.18

Thanks
