How to configure mysql with xoops?

Hello, all
I have builded the XOOPS in my webserver.(my OS is fedora5,webserver is apache).
After the XOOPS install was completed, i wanna to install some module in the xoops, but once action module which some problems are happened here.
Unable to write to main menu.
The directory cache/ uploads/ template_c/ is writable by webserver?
So i think whether the database need some configure?
Hope who can tell me that do you how to configure?
Your suggestions are appreciate!

I have the similar problem happened in my server.
With the directory cache/ uploads/ template_c/ is wirted by webserver user.
I same try to remove it and then reinstall, but the remove button cannot be find at the module menu?
Hope who can help!
Please told me where is mistake?
