Not sure if this will help you but it's worth a try. **Make sure things are backed up first!** I don't think this will do any harm either way but better to be prepared.

With one of the themes I tried I had a similar problem with IE. You can try downloading THIS (IE7_0_9.zip) and put that folder inside the folder of theme you are using (make sure to rename it from IE7_0_9 to ie7) & see if it helps.

If you look at the 'Previous Topic, Next Topic' etc buttons (lower left) in the two screenshots it made a difference. Wasn't perfect though.

IE Before

IE After

Hope this will help you.

Would it be possible to use this to force an individual forum to use a specific theme?

If that doesn't make any sense will explain. We are upgrading to XOOPS from an old version of UBB & quite a few of the members like the fact you could give each specific forum (not catagory) it's own style(theme). So you could have three different forums lets say: Announcements, Gen Disc, Tech Help & each would use a different theme when you entered that forum.

Is something like this doable or a total nightmare in the making?

I honestly have no clue what I am doing. But I messed with it a little. I had to add this to the theme.html file found in the themes/zetareticuli folder.

Changed it from:

[b]!--[if lt IE 7]>
    <
script type="text/javascript">
        var
IE7_PNG_SUFFIX=".*/icons/.*.png";
        var
IE7_BOX_MODEL true;
    </
script>
    <
script src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>ie7/ie7-standard-p.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<![endif]-->[/
b]

To:

<!-- compliance patch for microsoft browsers -->
   <!--[if
lt IE 7]><script src="/ie7/ie7-standard-p.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    </
script>

    <
script src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>ie7/ie7-standard-p.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

    <
script type="text/javascript">
        var
IE7_PNG_SUFFIX=".*/icons/.*.png";
        var
IE7_BOX_MODEL true;
    </
script>
    <
script src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>ie7/ie7-standard-p.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<![endif]-->

It made IE7 work a little better but things are still aren't right. Things don't line up right as you can see in the screenshot.

Zeta Reticuli & IE not getting along...

Forgive the 'noobie' question, not sure where to start to fix this. I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for.

I'm using the Zeta Reticuli v0.5 for 2.0.14 theme that I got From Here. Everything is fine until I go onto the forums (I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16 & CBB 3.08). Firefox looks good but using IE6 & 7 things aren't lining up.

Got screen shots so you can see what I mean:

Firefox
Internet Explorer

If someone's got an idea or could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
