You talk about "MultiMenu" or my answer ?

If you talk about "MultiMenu", I am agree with you.
My worry is about the lack of support for themes....

but in the other hand, I don't know any other good menu manager who provide so many possibilities ....

Extra script as module

Hi

I have a strange request :
For some reason, I can't use PhpMyadmin (mainly because it's not authorized by my webhoster !! )

So I found an other MySQL admin tool (lighter) and uploaded on my webspace.

Now the question is :
Can I create a button module-like in the administration page to directly access to the script ? (not related to Xoops)

or may be simpler:
Can I add a link in the Usermenu, visible only by admin(s), to the tools ?

Thanks for your help

Hello

Because I just spend 3 days on tweaking multimenu

Each menu correspond to a sub-folder in the "script" folder (from the module installation path /modules/multimenu/script/)

Vertical 1 -> 02
Vertical 2 -> 07
Vertical CSS -> 09

If I look at the folder 07, I see 2 subfolders 'style' and 'style_classic' with a file 'mm_vertical2.css' in it

Tell me if you need more info
nb: I used Vertical CSS and Vertical 1 , so I never dig in the code of Vertical 2. I 'm not 100% sure

Hope it's help

Hi

When have you downloaded CBB 3.06 ?
It seems that they updated it a few after the first release ...
Have you look this annoucememnt :
https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3440

and the comments after ...

I do the same as you (xoops2.0.15 + CBB 3.05 => upgrade to 3.06). The only different point :
I use TinyEditor 1.1 beta !!
You must place the folder "/fckeditor" also in the framework directory :
/Frameworks/xoops22/class/xoopseditor/fckeditor

and complete the file "newbb/include/plugin.php"
$customConfig["editor_allowed"] = array();

and
$customConfig["editor_default"] = "TinyEditor";

And last thing : you must reload the module in the administrator panel -> modules (I am sure you already do it , but just in case )

David

Explaination are nice, but it's hard to undertand with real case ...
Especially for HP and MP .
I join(create) the forum 29/9 (29th September 2006) and I have 37 posts:

HP show 38/96 and MP show 12/13 ...

Can you (or someone else) demonstrate how it's work ?
I don't see relations between numbers

again thanks for your help ...

Hello

I use XOOPS 2.0.15 and CBB 3.0.6 (recently upgraded).
work fine but I (and my users) still have some questions regarding the ranking in the Forum.

The value for EXP is clear , but value for HP and MP are more difficult to understand ...

For the Karma, I have habit with SMF forum. But it seems different, as here users can't raise up/down the karma of others ... I have read in a very old message from phppp, that the karma was calculated as "count post * 50" !!!
Still like that ?

Is someone can explain me clearly how all this values are calculated ?
btw: Where can I found a "recent" & "complete" documentation for CBB ? The FAQ on xoopsforge.com is far than complete.

(I already search in the forum and on several site ... I don't find a clear answer.)

Thanks for your help

Changing Avatars

Hi every one

I prepare a new web site since 2 weeks and I discovers Xooops in the same time (I have some experience with other CMS).

Yesterday I upload around 20 system avatars, and make several tests and every thing seems OK.

After, I decide to activate the module "Protector" ...
it give me some warning so, as I already face some trouble in the past, I try to resolve them in the limit set by my provider.
One warning was concerning the prefix used for the table names in the database.
As the module provide a tool to change it ... I made it.

Today, I realise that I can't change my avatar anymore
Well not absolutely true ... I can upload a new image/avatar but I can't choose among the system avatar.
When I select an avatar in the list and validate, I have the message "Your profile is updated" (or something approaching, free translation ) , but when I am back to my profile view, the avatar is still the same

Does any one have an idea ?

Thanks for your help
