current release of CBB enable joined files.

In admin, you must create /upload directories
Then in each forum configuration, enable joined files.

Of course be careful with group accès to the forums you enable joined files... it sucks space fast !

#OOPS#o.
For all sort of security reasons, I think it's better for you to moderate the uploads. The best way to do it is to use a contact form with surch a formulaire module. This one allow you to fix the sizes and file types that users will send to you.

Then, you'll be able to upload files yourself in a secure directory (with no write access) to enable links in your xoops.

Of course, this solution need a bit more job, but it's the safer !

Concerning CBB upload capacity, I think it's a good thing (I activated it with my recent upgrade), but you shouldn't open it for everybody...

In all cases : think security !

xoops.js is a nice place.
But you'll need to remember you hacked it at each XOOPS upgrade !
That's why I told you about using your theme js file that is your own code and won't be changed by any classic upgrade.

Hi, Why no include it in a .js file called from your theme.

ie :
in body tag,
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>/YOURSCRIPTNAME.js"></script>

Juste can someone tell me more about subsite hack way to to ?
SubSite shares DB tables between many XOOPS (directories) able to point the same DB(host).

This hack is usefull to share users data (exept avatar) into multiple XOOPS (for large sites).

Here is a complete solution.

Going further with our new host and new restrictions I now use win32 backup solution : Backup Watcher with BigDump restore...

Iaols thème was first of mines (nostalgy)
i didn't all understood !

May you disable right block within this module (see bloks admin)
In forum (if not top page) this information on all pages waste too much space... and isn't relevant !

I guess my solution is a bit extrem but you can think about it.

doesn't seems hard but since i'm still not a hard XOOPS coder... i did no't seach.

FYI : u can also do through php scripts... for severe session configurations and no shell (main hosteds xoops).

I've found scripts that allow shedduled backup... in your mail and of course its reverse : a restore
