Good day friends.
I have made a site in the past using XOOPS version 2.2.3 final edition and now I want to upgrade it to the latest edition 2.4.4 edition.
I went through the pages for the XOOPS core releases at sourceforge.net /projects/xoops/files/..... but I could not find any info regarding the upgrade of xoops.2.2.3 final version to later versions.
Would you please someone tell me how can I do this?

Thank you...
Anestis.

Thank you for your reply.
I have seen this module, and it is not working for me.
Actually I am looking for a module like tecnoinmo (featured in xoops.org) but with search capabilities. I want to put a few pics for each property, a short description, and I want to offer the guest a search (with creteria) capability

Good day,
I wonder if there is a module which "flips" the pages of a book , a catalogue, or a school newspaper for example. I know that there are some tools for doing this (for example www.flippingbook.com) but I would like to ask if someone did something like that for XOOPS environment.
Thank you.

Good day
I would like to know if there is a module for XOOPS which can be used for reading a book or a newspaper.
For example, there is a student's newspaper, and someone can read it (either in text or read the info from consecutive pictures: one picture per page for instance, or one text file of each article)in a XOOPS environment.
If there is not such a module, I think it is going to be a good idea if someone tries it thinking that many schools all over the world are bringing the pc inside the class...

Thank you for your replies. Help from the XOOPS community is great!
In one of the sites I did some time ago, (used XOOPS 2.2.3 final version) came up a problem with spam. I wanted to use the newest extented profile (which comes with captcha feature) but I did not managed to do so. Now, I will try the directions of the posts above.

I did that, it worked ok, but there was a big problem with the character set. It displayed many ?????? on the national characters even though the character set was the same (both in the host company and in my local machine). I checked it through the phpmyadmin (database.. -> collation, etc...)
Any idea what to do in order to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance.

Good day.
I am using XOOPS 2.2.3 final and I would like to change host since I am not happy with the company (slow, expensive, and not.. customer friendly..)
I have a lot of stuf however and prior to change host I want to make sure that the procedure will work ok.
Is there a tutorial which explains all the necessary steps so that I can do this with success and without being afraid of loosing anything?
I would like to try it first in my local computer.
Thank you in advance
Anestis M.
