Download sections reports that:

[NOT RECOMMENDED] XOOPS 2.2 Full Versions

[fr]
La prochaine fois, il faut penser avant d'agir
Si tu n'as pas de contenu, il est facile de retourner
en 2.0.13.2 et adapter le theme. Autrement cherche le
script pour revenir de 2.2 à 2.0.13.2

CH-GVA 1217

Yeap, thats the problem, its an addition asked by client that took me by surprise Ill look for the script, thanks all for support

You shouldn't need to change much at all, if anything, so I don't understand your question...

Yes, I modified (hard coded) the default theme, administration sections included with javascript, lots of css,etc... I know, it is a solution I Im considering, I just wondered if theres a faster easier way, ( like a degrade your them.exe ), just to begin , the admin part will be gonne, but it is indeed the solution I was geting started with.
Thanks

Hi, I posted this in begeiners corner but maybe its not begeiners question,so I apologize; no intension to spam my question.

Hi all, I have a problem and I envision 3 solutions.

I developed a site in XOOPS 2.2 modifying CSS, theme, Javascript, modified templates etc (a lot of work).

Turns out that my client really wants a form and a cms to output data to an Excell sheet, and as far as I knew only formulaire for XOOPS version 2.13 does the trick which is incompatible with 2.2.

At this point I dont know what is going to take more time/effort for me since I'm only a begeinner in php &mysql. Could someone teel me which of the following options will be less of a nightmare?

1.- Redeveloping the site in version 2.13 ( fear I wont have time )

2.- Learning a weekend crash course of MySQL php to develop the module myself ( I fear it'll take more than that )

3.- Show the way to my client through PhpMyAdmin to target the table and export to excell ( I frear he'll make a mess if he ever gets in there ).

Please, what should I do?

Many thanks, I'll have a look... developing with XOOPS as oposed to coding the whole thing from scratch is the difference between making it to the deadline, my mind is almost made up for xoops. thanks for the advise guys

As for the modules , we are on hold,we are on information architecture phase; roughly though ,they will want some sort of catalog, that could be developed without great difficulty in php, but others like questionary forms directed to specific agents on the garage , calendars, and most importantly, a cms interface to be able to access content and phpmyadmin sort of page to handle clients etc...
I think XOOPS is great for that with some of the modules, like news, pical etc... I just don't think I can possibly develop that on my own in just a few months. I think
anyways, thanks, I'll keep posting on my progress

Hi all,
Im the multimedia ,infographiste in an addvertising agency and we have a client of two alfa romeo garage websites given to us, "us"turns out to be "me" since our coder is gonne and I'm left with the only choice of using XOOPS to develop their website.

I have 2 months to develop, and since I dont have much experience in php, I consider myself (beginner intermidiate in LAMP), I think I'll have to hack my way out of this with a cms solution.

The problem Im facing has to do with languages, we are in Switzerland and as usually turns out, they want it in 4 languages, en it de fr...

I have seen that some of the language packages that work great and I could translate without a problem, but some modules for languages seem terribly unstable to engage in to the project.I might be better of translating the modules myself and cloning modules and tables.
I have even thought after arriving to the mainpage, be diverted from the chosen language to 4 different mirror XOOPS translated sites to avoid database, id, and module problems.

So, should I trust XOOPS as my solution or just go ahead and develop the whole thing from scratch?
xoops has done marvels for me so far, but I dont know at this point if I should trust my life to it...
any guidance will return sleep to my nights.
