XOOPS is really EASY to use. I've never worked with php or databases or CMS. XOOPS was my first and within one hour of downloading it I had updated it to 2.2.4 and installed 5 different modules all of which I was excited to find considering I had thought the only customization I could do was with way came with the XOOPS download. Boy was I wrong. Most modules just require you to upload them to your modules folder, going to the Admin section of your site installing the module from there and updating the system module. And most modules have files which will tell you step by step how to install them. You can easily upload and install 5 modules in 5 minutes. But like all software when you have never used it before you do need to take some time figuring how to use it.

Oh and there are several free FTP programs out there that will allow you to upload files.

Ok I have searched and tried everything I can think of. When I click on one of my movies to play it the window that pops up does not aut resize to fit the play, just stays small, and you have to manualy resize the window yourself. How do I make it to where when you click on the file to play it, the window pops up and auto resizes to the players set size, like this:
http://www.indonesianschool.org/modules/debaser/

I tried the js/resizewindow.js file, changed stuff there and that disn't work. Any other suggestions?

Yes you did lol, there is a downlink for it:
https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2715
, but like you said you exceeded your bandwith, so I thought I would see if you could e-mail it to me so I can fix it to where the hack will work.

Thank you! Worked great. Also the profile fields that I added earlier today finally showed up in the profiles and registration form just a little bit ago. Not sure why they took so long to show up, just glad they did.

Ok I am using XOOPS 2.2.4, what files and what lines do I edit to include the real name field in the registration form. I tried following the directions at the beginning of the thread, but I am assuming those directions are for an earlier version of XOOPS?

Also I did add fields to the extended profile module and even though they are showing that they have been added, they are not viewable in the registration form or on the profiles (yes I made sure that of the permissions for the field). Is there a limit on how many fields you can add?

Is there any hack that will make it to where users who log in and do not have the newly required profile fields filled out go directly to the extended profile in edit mode, so they have to update their profile before moving on?

Example:
I just added 2 profile fields that are now required, yet blowjoe who registered 3 days ago has the fields blank. I want the next time that blowjoe logs in to be taken directly to the extended profiles page in edit mode so he has to fill out those two fields before going anywhere else on the site.

I'm using XOOPS 2.2.4

If I am not mistaken it comes with XOOPS. It is set in a block from the system module. What version are you using?

Thanks for the link it worked great for getting the users IP address sent in the admin activation e-mail. From there I was able to figure out how to get all the fields from the registration page added to it as well.

I'm using XOOPS 2.2.4 and have it set to where the activation e-mails are sent to me, so that I approve or deny memberships. Anyway, the e-mail that is sent to me includes the username of the person and their e-mail as well as the activation link. My question is I want to add more info from the registration page, such as their display name, date of birth, etc... How do I go about doing this? I have somewhat of an Idea as I have been searching all day on this but the only answers I found where from back in 2004, and I am pretty new to XOOPS. So any help would be greatly appriciated!

Also is there any way to add the users IP address to the activation e-mail that is sent as well? I saw that when they change their password etc.. that an e-mail is sent to the user letting them know that a person with the IP of .... has requested a password reset, etc... Is there anyway to include the IP in the activation e-mail?
