The problem is settle down. I check the php.ini, the configure on file upload is the same as before. Previously, this setting on upload_tmp_file is blank and have not point to specific path. But I can still upload file, image to the site. I modify the setting, I set the path to the XOOPS uploads folder. I can upload file & image again. I don't know whether I am doing right or not?

My situation is similar with you. I install XOOPS on Mandriva 2006. All along I seen during the installation process is green light. After complete installation, I get a blank page when I reach the website by using the browser in the server. When I view the website from other host, everything is fine.

Recently, I got another problem is, suddenly I cannot uploads file.

The debug mode was turn on from the administration preference page (include PHP, MySQL). But nothing abnormal was said. In addition, file size should be ok. Because I post the image that was previously successfully post on (in order to exclude the factor of improper file).

Re: Blank page

Yes. I try another method to move the site. I set up Samba, copy the whole system to other server (Window xp).
The copy of /var/www/html is normal. But when I try to copy the database, the window system claim that the db and avatar I don't have the permission or something....

Anything I should do?

Re: Blank page

It return MySQL server version: 4.0.24-ntn. Before that I was test the setup by install another XOOPS on this server. Everything was fine. In fact, I known nothing about PHP, I known nothing about MySQL. I thought is that because my back up the system is not properly?

Blank page

Recently I do a backup & move the site to another server, but the whole system is blank. Nothing display. I have read the XOOPS FAQ and follow the possible steps, like add the code to xoops_config, turn the debug on in php, mainfile. But still there is nothing shown up.

The system version is 2.0.1.13. The modules installed were xcgallery RC 1.0, forum,....

The existing server is apache on Mandriva 2006. The new system is window XP with appserv. The method moving the site is, I copy the directory /var/www/html and the database in mysql. Then I paste the directory to the server and the database to mysql.

First of all, I need to say thank you to all of you built up XOOPS and those who answer my question. Without you, my site will never finish.

Now, I want to create a pop up window on the first page. So, when people came to the site, it can tell people what is new in the site. How can I do that?

Thank you MadFish & xuser. I reinstall the os for increase the partition of /var. Before reinstall, I login as root and use the K3b to backup the xoops. After reinstall, I login as root and use copy & paste from CDrom. There is nothing strange during this process.

The pages before login is quite normal. When I try to login, the wellcome page show (wellcome to login). Right after that, I was directive to first page again. So, I can reach the administration page. It is so peaceful, XOOPS did not tell me anything wrong.

Really need help. Thank a lot.
