Hi, just reviving my old post. I still have this error, actually, I experience this error on ALL my XOOPS sites :(

Scroll down to just above the form and you will see the code: onsubmit="return xoopsFormValidate_contactform();">

I am using XOOPS 2.0.13.2. Any ideas?

Hiya

I found this article through search and have now downloaded the Extensible Waiting Block Module, which has picked up all modules except for NEWS2.

I have gone into the "Waiting Contents Ext" block and clicked "check plugins" and it comes up with "no plugins found" for the NEWS2 module.

The NEWS2 module was downloaded via the XOOPS Module Repository, and I am using XOOPS 2.0.13.2.

I am still finding my way with all this coding, so a dummy's version of how to fix this would be most appreciated! Thank you :)

Hey there, thanks for the quick response!

I have no idea about GD library. It's not something I had to worry about on the old server, I just installed MyAlbum and started posting!

So back to the admin panel as I did notice a "Package treating images" option and this is what I found.

"Almost PHP environment can use GD. But GD is functionally inferior than another 2 packages. You'd better use ImageMagick or NetPBM if you can."

I switched to ImageMagick and found all but 2 thumbnails were now in colour.

I then switched to NetPBM and now ALL thumbnails are in colour.

So thank you! I didn't think to try these options as we had it running on GD which is the default, so I just assumed it would work here too.

Lindy :)

XOOPS Version: 2.0.13.2
Module Name/Version: MyAlbum-P V2.84
PHP Version: 4.3.11
MySQL Version: 4.1.21-standard
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): 1.3.36 (Unix)
Operating System: Linux
Theme you are using: lucastds01

A full description of the issue:

We are in the process of adding photos to our Photo Gallery and can not understand why some thumbnails appear in black/white or blue, while others appear in full colour. Photos are all in JPG format and taken by the same digital camera. If you click the thumbnails the larger photo appears in colour.

These photos were used on our previous website which we had to move due to the server going down.

The website is http://www.iffd.net/modules/myalbum/

We did not experience this problem on our old website and these are the same original photos we used in the old gallery. Any ideas as it's got me stumped!

Thank you!

Thanks MSDana. I have now upgraded to News 1.44 as suggested but we still can't read the full news article.

I noticed a NEWS2 module so am uploading that now and if all goes well, I will manually move the articles over to the News2 module and ditch News altogether. Here's hoping!

A couple things you can try (if you haven't already):

1. Update the news module and the system module.

2. When you click on Edit and see the article, do you click Post or just change pages? Try clicking on Post and see what happens.

3. De-activate (DO NOT UNINSTALL) the module and activate it again.

Perhaps one of these suggestions will be of help

Hi there. These are all great suggestions - 1 and 2 I had already tried so I gave 3 a go and nothing, then updated both modules again and still nothing.

I have used the PHP, Smarty and SQL debug options and everything looks sweet!

The only other thing I forgot to mention is that the site is still waiting for redelegation to occur. I am hoping when it happens that it will fix itself up, but I my doubts as if I can read the news summarys then I can't see why the full articles can't be read either.

Any more suggestions?

lol thanks Jenclaus, yes Anonymous users are ticked to read all news blocks.. I wish it was that easy :(

If you click on the NEWS button it takes you to the summary page and you can read the title and also short summary of each news article.

But click on read more and the article isn't there! When you look at the article in edit News mode, the full article is there - so why isn't it picking it up?

SO FRUSTRATING!

XOOPS Version: 2.0.13.2
Module Name/Version: News 1.1
PHP Version: 4.3.11
MySQL Version: 4.1.21-standard
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache
Operating System: Linux

A full description of the issue:

We had to move our XOOPS site to a new server and we seem to be almost there! However one glitch remains which I hope someone can assist with.

This is the site: CMBA

Click on any of the news articles in the Recent News block and you are taken to a page, the theme is there but the article is missing.

On checking Edit News all data appears to have copied over correctly and is shown in the right spots... so why doesn't it display on the site?

If further information is needed please let me know. :)
