Greets!

How do i allow a user who is loggedin to leave the site and then come back and still be logged in, or have it remember them in some way?

I have a section of my site that is not XOOPS and people go back and forth and they really get annoyed when they leave teh XOOPS portion, and come back and have to re-login again.

any suggestions?

uploaded modules arent showing up in module admin.

for some reason, whenever i upload a new module, it will not show up in the module admin panel. I uninstalled one or two modules, and they disappear, not showing up in the uninstalled module area in the admin.

it's a weird problem. yes ive verified that im uploading to the proper directorys, and these are not funky modules, i even uninstalled one of the default included modules, and it just disapears. I've also deleted my cookies and cache, with same results.

anyone know of a way to troublshoot this?

Any way to change the displayed name in theme selection?

I have the theme selection block setup on my site.. Is there any way to change the displayed name of each theme? I'd like to change the names to something a little less technical.

Giving registered users rights to post news

How do i give certain registered users to be able to post news without approval? i tried playing around with it, but only thing i can get working is either allow ALL registered users to post new or none (without approval).

anybody know of a way?

Im using the standard news module, How do I let certain users post news without moderation from me? I tried a few different settings but they dont seem to work. when a user submits news, it always comes to me for approval. I have a few users who Id like to be able to post things without me having to always approve.

any help?

Looking for "generic" type module

Im looking for a way to create really generic type modules, no frills.. just to make a basic module and insert html and have it show up on the main menu bar when i click on it it shows that basic html. ANother great thing would for it to be able to grab an html page and display it, i have several guys who deal with various sections of my site and they wantt be able to update stuff themselves.

anything like that out here?

Hi Guys,
Newbie here who recently discovered XOOPS and how cool it is. Im still getting the hang of things but i have question about webcams.

Is there a module or easy way to embed a java based webcam? I have a few personal webcams, and id like to figure out a way to embed them in my XOOPS page..
