Hi all,

I need some help with my problem. I will try explain what I want/need to do. I would like to use the news module to manage my news, but I would like to be able to upload files (like pdf, ...) directly with my editor (inbetween, fck ar any other) into a folder and create a link to download the file from the news.
I know I can upload the file from the news, but I have the link at the end of the page and not into the news...

Thanks a lot for any help

hi all,

I have the following probelm (maybe desire). I would like the have a "Navigate thru topics" on a left block where I can see only the topico with relative subtotic of the topic I am reading at the moment.

Maybe with an examble is better:

Topics:
News
- International
- Local
Articles
Projects
- Project 1
- Project 2
- Project 3

When I'm into the cat (topic) Projects I would like to see on the left side menu "Navigate thru topics" onyle Projects, Project 1, Project2 and Project 3.

It's possible?

Second how I can read into a template with smarty the parameters passed via the url (like storyid=7) I would like the able to see the 7 on my template.

thanks in advance for any kind of help, dakr

Hi all,

I'm complettly new to xoops, I would like to use it to build a corporate website (really?) with news (more category), newletter, map of the site, more contributors, multi level, ...

I look around and the last options are XOOPS and mambo (but mambo as only 3 levels) so I decide to use xoops.

I install it on a linux machine (the last 2.2 version) I try to use it with some module like asm, news, ... but I have a lot of error (or notice) with php.

My forst questio is: wich version I have to choose for a productional enviroment?
Second wich is the best news manager where I can have multi level, newsbox, more news menu on my home page, ...

Thanks a lot for any help and I'm sure this is the first post of a long list.

Bye bye
