I had a similar problem and found that the AMS module folder needs to be named "AMS" all caps for it to show up in the admin->modules page.

I did not know that... I thought everyone could see it. Thank you! I just logged in as a regular user and had a look and it is now there.

I appreciate the reply.

Can anyone help? I see that the icon doesn't show up on these forums, just the print and create pdf icons do. That is what I'm looking to achieve.

How do I remove the posttonews icon in forums? I'm using CBB v1.14. I've been all over the forum prefs pages and can't find the option to deselect this. I'm getting old and going crazy.

Thank you Andy! I'm a little embarrassed that it was right in front of my eyes. I’ll put it down as a PEBKAC error…

I have AMS set up with a few articles to play around with. The original posting of the articles went fine. But when I go in to edit one of the articles ( I wanted to move the [extend] tag to change the article preview on the main page ) it all looks good until I post the article and view it and realize the change didn't take.

I went into mySQL via phpmyadmin and edited the table directly and all is well. But I'm wondering why ams doesn't edit the article itself?

Well, looking into this more I found this in the forums Making a Field Required in the registration form which helps some. I'm guessing a total hack is in order if I want phone numers and adresses to be captured during registration.

Is it possible to use Formulaire or Liaise to do this?

BTW this is for an intranet, so the phone #'s and addresses won't be broadcast over the net.

Is there a hack or a way to capture a user's address, phone # etc. during the new user registration process?

I searched the forums forums for this and couldn't find it.
