Oh well. It's still broken.
It's the last straw to be honest. I've stuggled so much with XOOPS and been let down by various bugs that it's going to have be back to the drawing board and another CMS. It's a pity as I've invested so much time and effort and gotten so far with the site.

I've already tried the template_c thing.

I tried the session table, but seem to be getting an error trying to view the contents/open the sessions table:

#1016 - Can't open file: 'xoops_session.MYI' (errno: 145)

Any idea what has happened?

Hi all.
I've changed nothing from the last time I accessed my sites admin to make this happen. But basically, even though i am entering the correct username and password, and it says thanks for logging in, it returns me to the main page without any access to my user/admin panels.

If i try to access admin.php it says I don't have access rights. This is in firefox, so I tried IE, and it said something about the user not found, however the details on what I last submitted and posted are still on the server.

Is there any way to fix this? I set up my site so no one else could register, and that admin panels are only shown when you are logged in. So I'm screwed otherwise.

It's not a forum, rather, the news module that comes with xoops.

Hi All.
I'm really new to the XOOPS code, and php and all that.

Basically on the main page thats set to the news module HERE: http://www.zpyder.co.uk there is a comments link at the bottom of each article.

I presume it is possible to edit the template that shows these articles, but I don't know which one.

What I want to do is change the comments link from comments to "Email me" with my email link.

I was wondering if anyone knows the file I need to edit, and what I should change and what it should be changed to?

Aye. I missed it, I had scanned over this area and thought I had had everything ticked. D'oh!

I love how XOOPS works but sometimes the amount of tick boxes and how all the admin is stretched out sometimes just makes my head hurt hehe!

Thanks for the prompt reply though!

Hi all.
I'm scratching my head on this. I am trying to sort out xcgallery so that anonymous users can view the pictures etc. However XOOPS is deciding that they have no access rights.

This isn't true, in xcgallery I have chosen the option to allow anonymous users to view pictures, and have ticked all the yes's in the blocks admin on the photo gallery blocks to make them all supposedly appear, to no avail.

I think i remember reading somehwere here about menu items missing etc, but I'm not sure exactly what I need to do.

Gallery of flash Items?

Hi all.
Recently I got fed up of my old site, I wanted something simple and easy to maintain so it was very plain, then I decided to take the plunge and try a CMS, after fiddling around with a few I stuck with xoops.

The frame of the site is there at http://www.zpyder.co.uk but I'm stuck on something.

I like to do stopmotion animations and one of the main uses of my site is to act as a gallery of the animations. Currently they're in flash format, but at a later date I might move to .wmv's and .avi's

My question is, is there a galery module or download module that allows you to embed flash or other media files?

Currently I have been using the downloads module, but this isn't really suitable as the only way to view the files is to click the download link, which then opens up the animation in full screen when it really needs to be only a few hundred pixels wide etc. Ideally I need an option of viewing it at the correct resolution, or downloading the file (as right clicking and choosing save lnk target won't save the file with downloads module!)

Any help you guys can offer will be greatly appreciated!
