er... where does this code go? I mean, in which file do I insert this to get compression to work again?

Also, shouldn't the compression be done before caching, so that if there's a cache hit, it doesn't need to be compressed again (the compressed content can just be sent out). Will be _much_ more efficient, as the server will be able to handle MUCH more load.

Thanks

Sumit.

Well, well, now that was simple, wasn't it! duh!

Thanks, I guess I should've tried harder!

BTW, I have a suggestion about the 'filters': when I modify any block, and the page reloads, can the filters be already set to the ones before? Like if I'm filtering blocks for 'Anonymous users', and I make a change and 'Submit', then when the form comes back, the filter is reset to 'Registered users'.

Great job guys!

Sumit.

Hi,

I'm new to Xoops, so please forgive me if this sounds dumb!

It seems that some blocks can only appear in some places. For example, I noticed that the 'Polls' block can only appear on the top page (I use x2t theme, if that makes a difference). How can I change this behaviour, and add these blocks to whichever module I choose?

FOr example, I have a custom module in which I could like to display the poll box. Following posts on this site, I added a new module, which gave me a link in the main menu and a place to add the content. I also get a search and login box. However, I don't get a poll box. I can't enable it as when I select the custom module from the dropdown in the block admin, Poll is not even listed (tho it gets listed when 'Top Page' is being defined).

Thanks

Sumit.

Hi,

Don't bother, it's fixed: for whatever reason, x2t was not appearing in the list of templates in the admin panel. I 'downloaded' a copy from my XSAS, and uploaded it to the live server, and then it came in the list.

Funny, tho, that even tho it did not appear in the template list, the option for using x2t DID appear in the preferences!!!

Anyway, fixed now.

Sumit.

(sorry for the cross-post, I should've posted here first!)

Hi all,

I just installed the latest version of Xoops, and the x2t doesn't seem to be working well. I don't know if it got broken in the latest update (I have only used the XSAS to test XOOPS before this), but it's menus and blocks are displaying wierd. Also, the icons in the menus are not appearing.

Can someone please check it out athttp://www.indian-sites.com/audiomanage/sitecontent/

and let me know? I've already tried reinstalling several times (and it's a pain!), but it's remained this way. Other themes work, but the problem is that my whole site has now already been designed around the x2t theme.

Thanks

Sumit.
