I have down loaded and installed the icontent module onto my linux box. It seems to have installed correctly except for the fact that when I try to go into the admin module I am getting the error message "Cannot instantiate non-existent class" when I try to open the admin module.

What it appears is happening from the full text that appears on the screen is that the icontent admin window is trying to call the class named "admin.class.php" located in the subdirectory class under the icontent folder and is not able to open this file. I have tried changing the path that it is looking for this class to include the full absolute path to the file it is looking for and I was still getting this error.

I also change the permissions to 755 and did not have any success. I then tried using the premissions at 777 and had the same result.

Does anybody have some suggstions on what I would need to do to get this admin module to work correctly?

Thanks in advance

I was finally able to figure out what my problem was on this. This may be useful for someoneelse down the road.

Apparently when I ran the installation program the first time when it was supposed to copy the template source files in to the table xoops_tplsource the templates did not get stored in this table. I found this by looking at the table xoops_tplfile and looking at template file that evennews was pointing to. I then looked in tplsource and found that there were no matching records for those files. I deleted the bad records from the table xoops_tplfile and then I clicked on the module update button for this module.

After I did this this module now works correctly.

Using the PHP debug I have been able to find that I am not getting any error messages when I attempt to open the evennews main window. But I am not seeing any of the messages that are in the archive and I am esentially when I attempt to use this module seeing a blank window.

I copied the index.php file to a seperate file and I found that this page is fully executing by tarcing the PHP but still when I look at the evennews Nothing is showing up on the screen.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I need to do so that I can actually see the evennews pages when I try to use this module.

OK I should have looked more closely at the admin Menu that was easy. when I did this I didn't see any messages. So just to make sure that this was working correctly I created a modified file that did have a syntax problem and tried that in that case I did see a message, but when I see the file that is included in the package I did not see any error messages. Any suggestions?

If I am reading your message correctly what you want me to do is download the PHP debug package from sourceforge Install it and then set it up to what error messages I get. I will go ahead and do this in the morning.

Hello,

I am guessing that the question I am going to ask will be a simple one that if I took I would figure out the answer to.

I am researching Newsletter modules and I am looking at the EvenNews module when I set Install this module and go to click the link to it from the home page I am getting a blank screen. I am guessing that if I look far enough I will find another module I should have setup that I have not Installed, but I am not seeing which module this is very easily. If someone could give me some assistance which additional module I need to setup to make this module work I would appreciate the help.

I think that it would be nice if there was some documentation with some of these modules.

Thanks

Messages in Contact us disappear

I am guessing that I know the answer to this on already but I figure I might as well ask. The linux box that I am using for test purposes doesn't have any mail server setup on it at this point in time. When I try using the contact us module the contact messages that I am attempting to send appear to simply disappear into thin air. I am guessing that the reason that this is happening is that the contact us module is designed to send Information through the send mail module. I say I am guessing because I have not been able to find any actual documentation for this module.

Do I need to have sendmail setup and working before I can use the contact us module?

Thanks

I just figured out what the problem was and how to fix the problem. I have downloaded and installed a theme that is apparently bad. I had set the value for the user selectable to that theme. I went into the MySQL database and in the Xoops_config table under the config option named "_MD_AM_THEMEOK" deleted the name of the bad theme I had entered and things are working again now.

I figured out my own problem.

I have been experimenting with the XOOPS installation that I have created, prehaps I shouldn't have been :)

Right now when I login to the XOOPS site that I have set up until I login I will see my page with the selected theme. But as soon as I login to my test site all I see is a blank page with no places to get to the administration module or to logout of the site.

How can I get back to being able to work with my site?

Thanks
