After geting a domain setup I find out they are using an older ver of MySQL than I was. I decide why not do a clean install and move the tables of data over like user registration, profiles from the test site. It seems to go well. So I went to the user-> group -> anonymous and gave that group full rights to everything. Then turned them off a few at a time until it broke again. To refix it took turrning every last rights back on then turning them back off.

What was breaking it for me was turning off access to a custom page which is listed a my start page. Silly me I should not be messing with this stuff when home sick.
It might be something to look for.
