so I see the thread died. I have yet to find a cause for this. Bassman says that he is not running zonealarm and he doesnt see any images on the site either.

It's hard for me to troubleshoot as I see all of the images all of the time on all of the machines I use. I'm a real estate agent and I have access to a number of computers at a number of locations.

How the heck can that be.

well I've spent a bit of time researching ands this seems to be an unknown issue.

Not sure how that can be as I have done nothng odd, to my knowledge, on my site.

well now thats just bizarre. The only time the calendar is distorted or the graphics not visible for me is when ZA is running. Some of the other formatting goes weird as well.


I am using Firefox 1.0.6 and the site has been tested in previous vers of Firefox as well as Explorer. I've also loaded the site in numerous other machines and it always works fine.

I edit the original code in Dreamweaver but it is config'd to not reformat or otherwise alter the code during saves, etc.

I am completely baffled.
Any feedback would be great In the mean time I'll play with it.

ZoneAlarm blocking images and some formatting

could some of you that are running ZoneAlarm have a look at www.quinteonline.com.

I am experiencing a problem where ZA is blocking images and distorting some of the formatting.

The odd thing is that it just started happening a week after I installed ZA. I have made the site a trusted site and unchecked "remove private header information".

When I first unchecked "remove private header information" the images appeared but then it was like ZA reconfiged itself and they vanished again.

I had a surfer comment that he saw no images while bck and thought that it was just something on his machine till this occurred.

There is a large banner across the top of the page as well as a headshot of me on the front page. THe formatting that is being affected is the mini calendar 1/2 way down the left column.

hey, thanks for the critique. I had given up on anyone posting a reply after watching 100's of visitors from here check it out and no one taking the time to say anything.

You are 100% correct that it is specifically a regional site/portal. It has two purposes, 1st-to act as a community resource, 2nd- to promote my name and face as I enter the real estate market. I have read your commentary carefully and thank you for your thoughts. You are spot on and I will take your
advice.

Your site is quite interesting. How come you have a Mambo site and your hanging out in a XOOPS forum ?
I almost left thinking that your domain had expired and been taking over by an affiliate farmer. After spending a moment I come to the conclusion that you are the affiliate farmer.

Technically the site is very well put together although it's very generic and many surfers might leave right away with the same reaction that I had, that the link has expired and is being harvested by an affiliate farmer. I, like most people run into those types of sites daily and rarely spend enough time to do more then identify it as expired domain.

well I guess the answer is newbb as there are no CSS sheets.

I did figure it out and it was dumbass stupid simple and completely obvious. It pulls it's setting from the theme's css.

was certain that I tried that but who knows.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

I'm not really interested in Babe 2 though. I only dloaded it becasue nothing I could come up with would make myPinup work. When it didn't work either I didn't look much further at it. I want a module that will display my images.

I only mentioned it as I thought maybe the problems in the two were related somehow.

I can't get any image module to work

Hi all,

I want a block to display a random/different image of the local community

I have tried myPinup and Babe2 and neither will display images. The setup for these two mods is very simple so I'm confused.

For Pinup I get the default image that indicates that it can not find any images. I have played with this one quite a bit to no avail. I even uninstalled it, re-dloaded it and reinstalled it. I went and got a picture pak from the authors website and I have tried every combination of options I can think of, nada.

Babe2 I just installed to see what would happen and it fails to display the images as well giving only the little box with a red X that indicates the browser can display/find the content.

I would appreciate any ideas. I've seen MyPinup working on other sites and it appears to be perfect for my use.

Catads, was wondering if there is documentation for this.

Suspend publishing - what does it do. All users can still see the ad regardless so I guess it does something other then what it appears. ne1 know?

I was hoping that it allowed the registered creator of the ad to remove/delete/hide it.
