running XOOPS 2.0.13.2
news 1.42

go to www.westminstermorris.org

click on the "Chester 06" news article an it looks fine

in the same browser session, navigate anywhere else on the site and then try the link to "Chester 06" news again and get a blank page.

Kill the browser and come back to the site and you can again see the news article once.

Happens on both firefox and IE

I have an identical site at www.harlowjazz.co.uk (copied the sql database over) and I have switched php debug on.

ISP says php version is 4.4.2 and zend is 2.6.2

I am lost. please help.

Solve Redirect Problem under Gecko Browsers

This patch was made by FrankBlack (thx for your support)

The malfunction of redirecting pages is a bug within Gecko-based browsers. Here a solution to prevent this:

Open system_redirect.html and change the line with body-tag to:

<body onload="void(location.href='<{$url}>');">

Open file xoopsroot/include/functions.php and look for function redirect_header. The line with the body-tag have to look like this:

<body onload="void(location.href=\''.$url.'\');">

The file functions.php does not have a <body> tag within the redirect_header function.

I have looked in v 2.2.2 and 2.0.13.2

Can anyone shed any light?

how very odd.

I am on 2.0.13.2 are you maybe on a different version?

I will apply the other changes referred to in this thread as well and see if that helps.

Thanks for the attention.

Andy.

Thanks for the quick attention Blueteen.

I have amended the code as suggested but it has made no difference.

Is there maybe a cache to empty (although I have not got any caches set up)?

Maybe I will try and create another user.

Looks like I will have to get on with my 'real' job for the moment.

I may go quiet for a few hours. don't be offended if I appear to be ignoring reponses.

This is the single most useful thread I have seen so far. It works just fine for me on XOOPS 2.0.13.2

However, there is one problem I can't see how to fix.

The kiovi editor comes up on the use account screen allowing them to put clever stuff in the signature but this does not display properly when the signature is added to a post - or anywhere else for that matter.

Someone please tell me how to do one of 2 things.....

either
1. make the signature area of edituser.php revert to using the plain text area

or

2. Make html code in signatures behave properly

feel free to visit my test site
It is not a production site. User guest, password guest and do what you like there

Thanks

Running XOOPS 2.0.13.2

I would like to implement a WYSIWYG editor on every place within XOOPS that has an input form.

At the moment, I have SPAW running in the news module and some other WYSIWYG editor (I think) in content.

Can someone please give me an idiot guide covering the following?

1. Which editor to go for (nothing flashy, so long as cut and paste out of word/excel retains formatting)
2. where to download that editor
3. How do I apply it in xoops

Specifically, I want to implement a WYSIWYG editor in newbb

Thanks

Andy.

Good that you've fixed your own problem.

Can I ask that you publish in as much detail as you can what you did to solve it?

As you say, permissions are tricky and others are having trouble. There are a few threads around.

I had a problem and I was asking questins and somehow, stumbled into the solution for myself. My problem is that I fiddled with so many settings that I do not know how I fixed my issues.

I have re-produced my original problem in a 'throwaway' web site but have not yet managed to re-produce my fix.

What you found may give me, and others, a clue
