Question... Durning "install", Does XOOPS copy or write ANY files to the server out of the XOOPS main directory and the MySql database assigned to xoops?

If so would you PLEASE list the files and location.

reason for this question is... After installing XOOPS NONE of my php scripts can access ANY MySql db, even ones that were working fine BEFORE installing xoops

Here is the install location for xoops:

http://www.over18hosting.com/xoops/

the effects from the XOOPS install effected the entire server not just a single domain (I have 5 domains running on this server)

First off NO files (admin or index.php for the other scripts) have been modified and are still there.

I made a page test.php with <?php phpinfo(); ?> ...which gave me the php info from the server.
I renamed it index.php and it ran as expected, with just thehttp://dir/ in the address bar.

I guess I do not have a "Simple" php script to run that would access MySql, includes, etc. so I am at a loss.

all other admin or index.php pages give me a:
Object not found! 404

I tried turning on "debug:display_errors" (info to brouser) in etc/php.ini but all I get is:
"The page cannot be displayed" error message

Still confused...

I have searched all over for the answer to this question... but no luck.

I installed XOOPS without any problems, now NONE of my index.php or admin.php pages, on ANY of the php scripts I have on my site (classified ads, phpmyadmin, real estate ads, etc.), that WERE working fine, will load.

Any Ideas where to start looking to fix the problem???

Hi everyone,
I am new to XOOPS and have just installed it for the first time... no errors... all went well.

I have looked for an answer to my broblem but could not find one.

My server is a Redhat 9 with Php 4.2.2

My problem... the index.php page only has a header and a footer on it... Nothing else. If I try to go to admin.php I get a "Sorry you don't have permission" from the XOOPS script

I enptied the SESSION DB table, dumped cookies, cleaned history and cashe, turned on debug in both XOOPS and php.ini (do not get any errors)... but still nothing.

any ideas as to how to fix this????
