Re: Update Problem 2.0.92 to 2.0.10

Heh I just upgraded and started to panic because I also had this problem. Thanks so much for the help :)

PS. If anyone else has this problem all you need to do is go into the admin panel and update the "System" module and it will work fine :) (just like the guy above said :P )

Thanks so much!

Re: wmpdownloads permission problem

Well since I couldn't afford the downtime, I reinstalled another dl module and re-added all the files. Thanks for your help anyway though.

Re: wmpdownloads permission problem

The server has PHP 5 and MySql 4.1 (I think it's 4.1).
I copied the sql table directly from the other server so it should work the same, and I copied the module files directly too. What's really weird is that if I set it so anonymous users can access the download module, it works. What do you mean by debug modes? There aren't any PHP errors on the page, so I'm assuming you meant that :/

And I would consider another module if I didn't have like 400+ files in the downloads section. I also wouldn't want an upload feature; I'm dealing with big files and upload them via FTP to my server and then link to them.

wmpdownloads permission problem

Hi,
I just moved my XOOPS site to a new server and for some strange reason whenever anyone tries to view a category or download a file in the wmpdownloads module, it shows the XOOPS permission denied page. The group permissions are set right and I have no idea what's causing this. Any similar problems or solutions?

member's name in download url

Hey,
I searched for a question like mine, but I could only find something close, and this is kind of urgent.
I was wondering how I would put a user's name into a url for some of the files in my downloads section on my website. I use wmpdownloads, which is exactly the same as mydownloads except it has a permission feature built in, which shouldn't matter. I want to do this because of a download tracker script I have, and I need to have the username in it to track downloads correctly. The syntax of the file is something like: http://website/download.php?user=(USERNAME HERE)&file=(FILE HERE). and I need to know how to make XOOPS automatically insert the username into the url. I tried to make the url ""?username={xoops_uname} like someone said in another topic, but it didn't work? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much ahead of time.

showing news on the front page with the news module

Hi, I know that there is a block in the news module that shows the titles of news topics, but what is a block that will actually show the real news? Thanks a lot!!
ps. It would be nice if it was using the same news module... not another one because I have news as of now in the current one.

Re: mypage permission

did you want my modified version or the original one?
I think you can find the original one somewhere in this forum.. try doing a search for "mypage.zip". if you want the modified one just PM me or something :P

mypage permission

Since I wanted static pages on my page, I got the mypage module. Basically all it is a script that outputs static html, but I modified it to support multiple pages and added a security feature.... not that any of that matters. The problem is that it seems that anon users cannot view this module, and I didn't change anything in xoops_version except not to show a link on the main menu. Could anyone tell me a generic way to allowing anon users to view this module? (it doesn't show up in groups so I cant use that)

Thanks a lot!
