Well, I just redid Xoops, and I just decided to get an article one, but now, I'm wondering why the headlines section doesn't work? Why do so many things seem so screwed up?

Yeah, I've read all the information, but it found it pretty worthless to my situation. It kept giving me the same stupid error. All I was needing was something to allow me to put in my info index, like of projects and experiments that I had done, and an indexer of reports.

Dheltzel: Whare do I get these modules? I'm guessing in the downloads? I haven't found any that have been user-friendly, or not so complex. Is there any module templates around here?

Sorry if I sound negative, but for heavens sakes, I followed the documentation, and when I looked at some parts of the doc's, it said it was being worked on, or a link was bad. Anyway, I didn't mean to take XOOPS in the wrong way...

I don't know why XOOPS doesn't have a built-in module maker, because I've continually tied to make a module, but it always farts out with
Module File for Not Found!

I don't think I got rid of a "module file"? if anyone could just zip up a completly simple module, I don't even plan to have any php in it, just going to have some information. Ugh, and how do i get rid of my module off the list?

ARGH!!!

AH HA!!! I found the problem! After just ripping out veriousm parts of the main page, I finally found the problem: The time counter!

I'm not really sure why this could be a problem, but it is, so, I guess I'll just have to keep it out...

Did both of those things, but still didn't display it. But, it did help something, when I open my sites source directly from the page, I can see the code all in there now. What could be the problem? I wondered if some tags were messing with the control?
Anyway, thanks for the amount of help so far, I just wish I could have much more interactive blocks besides text. I have had trouble with other scripts like javascript in blocks before, but this I just had to get fixed.

well, it's a activex object, but I assume I will just put it in themes...

EDIT: OK, so I did the edits in themes, then inserted my activex script into my block, XOOPS shows nothing, nor does it show any errors in IE...

I would value if it could be possible to use a url instead of an upload, kind of wastes server space IMHO....

What do I need to do to be able to edit the header? I looked around in the files, even "grepped" xoops, searching it in and out. But, in all of this, i could not find the place where I was to edit?

EDIT: well, I started to look closely at header.php, but i couldn't see anything that looked like the header...
