Hi,
i'm using version 2.0.6 and willing to update to 2.0.7 but i'm afraid of losing my files that i've customized and somewhere hacked. I noticed a file under downloads section called arabic 2.0.7 patch only , i get a copy and skimmed some potions and observed that there is no arabic customization in it. Now, my question is about using this patch over my Turkish installation. In deed, my question is more general; can any patch packed for any specific language be used for one another language version of XOOPS?
In other words, does any released patch in any language apply to all XOOPS installations.

Hi,
i want to hack register.php and modify according to my needs, i will remove some of the fields and add new ones. But i don't know how my attempt will yield other depending modules' work. In other words, a user will register according to my register.php (custom fields rather than original XOOPS) and user.php will show my fields. Is there any other file that depends on the fields in register.php. Second question; what should be the steps to hack register.php;
- Modification of the HTML Form
- Modification and alteration of Database fields
Is there more step to do? For example, do i have register the variables? Is it required?
Another much important question is that; is my hack will make it impossible for me to upgrade XOOPS in the future, by means of the core and user module.

Hi,
the theme i'm using displays the date and time on the main page; and of course the day name is in English; i want to translate it into Turkish; to do so i guess i have to edit the mechanism of the smarty code below:
but i don't know; where the smarty libs are stored, any idea?

Hi,
i want to edit redirection pages (Ex: Welcome user, you are being redirected to where you come, if redirection fails click here.) but i couldn't find them. I found one, located at modules/system, called system_redirect.html; i edited it, but still the original redirection page shows up. I'm stuck! Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
