well, now we have issues...

I have uploaded the XDirectory module but it won't let me install it. In the Modules window, it says

"Module File for Not Found!"

and will not let me install the module.

What am I doing wrong? Oh, and you can email me for better response time at davedorm@gmail.com or on the IM services as well... AIM: davedorm67, ICQ: 343981

Thanks for your help.

I am putting together a site for karaoke bars. People who want to sing on a certain night would check the event calendar and locate a bar to sing at.

I was using piCal for the event calendar, but I want to set up a "map link" to a hotlink of a map to the venue, and other information about the joint.

I am no good at hacking or writing a module, so I need something pretty simple.

Something where the venue could be a page of its own, maybe? And linked in piCal?

Any ideas?

Where can I get forum icon sets for use with a dark background? The ones that come with XOOPS are pixelated with a white halo. Need cleaner or dark bg icons.

Thanks

I want to change the way the news module displays the title of the articles. The default is:

TOPIC: NEWS ARTICLE TITLE
posted by AUTHOR on MM.DD.YY

...or some such. I want it to look like this instead:

NEWS ARTICLE TITLE
posted in TOPIC by AUTHOR on MM.DD.YY

I looked at the template files in the news module and really found nowhere to do this. It looked like line 100 of article.php was it, but no joy when edited.

Anyone done this or know how to change this?

Thanks!

I am switching my weblog from b2evolution to Xoops. I want to import over 1000 entries into the News module. I need some sort of script or something to assist. I do not know enough about SQL to do the work myself.

I have the old posts dumped from the old SQL table. I just need some help.

Anyone?

I may have noticed another weirdness. XOOPS logs me out if I load a page that is outside of the Xoops, a custom HTML page that I added the code to the top and bottom to make it part of my site. I thought if the header was inckuded, the page would act as if it were part of the rest of my site.

Odd....

2.0.7.3 is the version I have, I am updating to 2.0.9 as we speak. We'll see if that fixes it.

For some reason, XOOPS is making users log in twice before the cookie takes. I thought it was just happening to me, but two other users have reported this behavior as well.

Any ideas?

I have a need for some conditional code to be displayed to site visitors coming from a specific referrer. I am already using something similar on my personal site for people using Internet Explorer. If you visit my site with IE, you will notice the blurb at the top of the page advertising Firefox. If you are not using IE, then good for you, you won't see the nag message.

What I want to do is display a message top people who have popped in from specific referrers. Like a message for people that came in from Google, BlogExplosion, etc. But I do not want the message to come up for anyone else.

Does anyone know how to set up such bloggery goodness? I'm Googling it now as we speak, but help a buddy out, will ya?

Thanks!
