Is it possible to use Upgrade patch to 2.0.13.2 from version 2.0.6?
Or do I need to do a fresh install, and if so, how can I save and use my sql data associated with 2.0.6?

The important difference I.E VS Netscape
In Netscape- Popdown javascript menus FUNCTION while the page continues to load.
In I.E.- Popdown menus DO NOT FUNCTION until the page is fully loaded.
So:
Is there a way to load the javascript and make it functional in I.E. while the page is still being rendered...and how.
(or)
Would it be possible then for me to include necessary style elements in the html pages themselves and remove the reference to CSS?
(or)
Is there a way to preload or cache css when User enters the site?

Rowdie, I would have replied to your post by PM but it will be another 3-4 minutes before this page finishes loading and I can get a popdown menu to get to your PM.

Thanks for explaining that you caused it. Actually, what I am looking for tho is how to fix it. So, to get back to the problem:
I.E. Status bar showing (80 items remaining) Loading page www,sitename etc. - and none of the javascript menus functioning until the page is fully loaded. (PLZ try to load this page using I.E. to see what I mean).
The NewBB pages load fast and function perfectly in Netscape - so it is not an issue of Functions-Gifs-or PNGs; but an issue of browser compatibility.
So the big question to analyze to help determine a fix is:
Why does it work well and load fast using some Browsers, but not when using I.E - and what can be done to make it work in I.E. ?

Thanks for your reply, but did you read my post before you answered? It is not an issue of features or gifs, it is an issue of browser compatibility and what can be done to make it work in I.E. as it does in Netscape.

Newbb 2.0.2 is extremely fast in Netscape with Javascript drop down menus immediately accessible.
However, in I.E., Newbb2 is extremely slow loading (even on this site) and drop-down menus are not accessible until the page is fully loaded.
In the Status Bar (as the page is loading) you can see for example: (124 items remaining)Opening Page http://www....etc. and none of the drop-downs will work for up to 30 seconds.

You miss my point entirely tl.
If I want XOOPS News, I'll certainly go to the News section. If I want to download, I'll look in the Download section where one should expect to find downloads...

Where is the 2.06 - 2.07 Upgrade patch? I've looked in downloads and downloaded 2.07 core but there is no upgrade folder in html folder...
In downloads there is 2.05 0 2.06 Upgrade.
PLEASE: Why not put the 2.06 - 2.07 upgrade patch there?

PROBLEM FIXED (for me)
Posts were not being marked as read so went to...
Administration Menu - System Admin - Preferences - General Settings...
Changed settings:
1)Use Custom Session - Yes(was no)
2)Session Expiration - 30
** NewBB messages are now again being marked as read for me and other users :)
