mercibe,

I would sure like to have that samaccountname option, because I don't know how to write a query .

I think I'm having problems with the CN, one because of the long names and two maybe because of the spaces.

One user has more than 25 characters in his CN and he's not able to login to xoops, even after I modified the maxlength of the textbox to > 25. I'm pretty sure I need to change something else somewhere else.

If I have some time next week I will add this option to the current AD "authentication module". If you wrote the query before me, simply post it here: it will make me gain 5 precious minutes

So the sam name lookup would really work for us, as the domain login names are not too long and have no spaces. I hope you find the time to add the modifications. Thanks!

Hi mercibe,

Thank you for this module. This is going to work well for us for active directory.

I tested it on our production AD, following your tips, and it works very well.

Our cn for the user name is a little different as it is the user's full name plus code, something like a "Jack Ryan (TS-PH)". And this is different from the login name, which would be "jackr".

I'm new to LDAP and I'm not sure if I can pass the "samaccountname" as the $uid_attr. This is the object that has the login name I want, the "jackr". Well I tested it using the LDAP browser and it wouldn't accept using samaccountname as user DN. So I guess it doesn't work, ...or does it?

Thanks.

Thanks brash and El_Jordo. I'll put it in theme.html. Good thing I only have 2 themes enabled for now

I was also able to make the logging work by adding a custom HTML block containing the javascript. But of course, it results to an ugly block with nothing in it.

Sorry if my question may sound stupid, but how do I enable php-stats to start logging stats for my XOOPS site? Where do I add the javascript line, in header.php or somewhere else?

I'm trying out php-stats and I was able to get it installed. Just not sure how to enable it.

Thanks.

I was going to use php-nuke for our Intranet. I spent about 2 months (not full-time of course) getting to know nuke, building the site, and frequenting nuke sites.

There were several times when I had to rebuild from scratch after some module or two that I added started causing problems.

Now, I've decided to use XOOPS instead. In just 2 weeks, I'm ready to deploy. It's very easy to install, modules are real easy to install (which I like compared to nuke's manual module installs), and when you run into a problem, there's the debug mode. I ran into a couple of conflict problems between XOOPS modules but I was able to resolve them using the debug and a search for related posts in these forums.

Thanks, hsalazar. I think I know how to do it now from your instructions. In any case, I'll take a look at your MP00 theme if I get into problems.

Hi. I'm sorry if this has been answered before. I tried searching the site using keywords like "on top" or "ahead", but with no results.

Is there a way to have the News (which is the start page module) appear ahead of the Recent Topics block? I'm referring to the start page, by the way.

Thanks!
