I use Zend Studio on OS X. I love it but it's not cheap. They have a free demo you can try out for 60 days.

Hi,

Is there any way to have separate News Modules for Anonymous Users and Registered Users? Or possibly different topics for Anonymous and registered users?

Thanks,

Lanette

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to follow your suggestions but there were some more oddities. I was a member of both Webmaster groups and neither group had any System admin rights. (that didn't make any sense). Since the only thing I had done was play with some templates, I decided to do a clean install. I didn't want problems later on.

I have another unrelated question. Once the site I am working on is ready, I will need to move it. The URL will change but it will be supported by exactly the same database.
What will I need to change?

Thanks again,
Lanette

Double default Groups

Hi,

I installed XOOPS yesterday, so I am brand new at this. I have a weird problem that I am not sure how it happened or what the ramifications might be. I noticed that I have 6 instead of 3 default groups. (Webmasters, Registered Users, and Anonymous Users listed twice) The permissions for each matching group are very close but not exactly the same. One set can can be modified and the the other set can be modified and deleted.
What I also thought might be odd is that the group with the higher ID's (4,5,6) are the ones that can't be deleted.

Is there a listing of what the default settings should be? What kind of problems may this cause if I delete one set. Does XOOPS expect the default groups at a certain ID?

The docs for groups do not go into detail.
I am pretty early in the setup of this site, so starting over would not be a tragedy.

thanks,
Lanette
