Do you have to change this permission after you have finished your install/upgrade?

Ok, Found out that this has something to do with support for legacy modules in XOOPS 2.4.x

This seems to have been addressed in XOOPS 2.4.3 so an update to 2.4.4 seemed to resolve these issues I have been having.

I am currently running the latest version of Excal v2.22 and XOOPS 2.4.2 on a server running php and MySQL 5. The problem I am currently having is when people try to submit events they just get a blank page. When I switch on debug, it does not really seem to show anything up on the debug option.

Also, when trying to display the latest events block, I get the following error message:

.000198 SELECT FROM extcal_event WHERE (((event_start <= '1270079999' AND event_end >= '1267401600' AND event_isrecur '0') OR (event_recur_start <= '1270079999' AND event_recur_end >= '1267401600' AND event_isrecur '1')) AND event_approved '1' AND cat_id IN () AND cat_id IN (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,12,9,10,11)) ORDER BY event_start ASC
Error number
1064
Error message
You have an error in your SQL syntaxcheck the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') AND cat_id IN (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,12,9,10,11)) ORDER BY event_start ASC' at line 1

Any ideas on how to fix this? Is this still supported or is there a preferred events module for xoops?

Dan

Have to agree with Mr Tang. Been running XOOPS for a while too and have to say that upgrading to XOOPS 2.4.x has broken alot of modules etc on my site(s). Some of them are biggies and there does not seem to be any alternatives. These include:

Extcal
NewBB/CBB
RSS Centre

Some of these modules do not seem to have been updated and it seems that the XOOPS Development team does not seem to be bringing alot of these module developers along with them. This has resulted in alot of modules not working with the latest version of Xoops.

As someone else said, some of the problems might stem from running a later version of PHP, MySQL etc

In the meantime, if anyone wanted to upgrade to the latest version of Xoops, I would tell them to think twice, and make sure that their core modules are not broken.

Ok, Figured this out by going to groups and selecting the right permissions there.

Setting permissions for blocks. Is it possble to set permission with block running multixoops? e.g. To be able to make some blocks viewable to anonymous users while making others viewable to registered users?
