Thanks everyone, decided to overwrite all the files in root directory with new ones and it is fixed. Must have been a dodgy file in there somewhere.

Question: How do I delete unwanted template sets?
Is there a facility within the XOOPS administration section to remove unwanted templates sets because if there is I can't find it and if there is not, why not?

Answer: There should be a delete button in the Template Set Manager.

Reply: I can't see one, must be broken.

Thanks lightning!

I have several template sets that I have cloned, each has a different name however there is no delete link (to delete a complete set), should there be one?

Looks like I'll have to do it manually via the database.

Like I said, no offence meant but, if you don't have the answer, don't bother to reply, you obviously don't have any answers.

Go to Admin/templates/Template set manager

The 'clone'button is there for a reason, try figuring out what it does, you may then understand the question.

In Postnuke the following blocks direct linking:

if (!defined("LOADED_AS_MODULE"))
{
die ("You can't access this file directly...");
}

Is there a XOOPS equivalent?

I know that the <{$xoops_banner}> tag is in the theme.html file. Perhaps the tag has been moved to the footer.

Take a look at the theme.html file from the Default theme to see what I mean.

By the way if you modify the theme.html file with Microsoft Frontpage you can expect it to no longer work in xoops. It seems to writes extra code into it that XOOPS cannot work with.

Thanks for your assistance tjmenez. In the end I figured out how to get FlashChat to load into a resizeable popup window instead. Any xoopers that are interested in how I did it should read my post on the FlashChat website:
