Sorry I did not unerstand your question. It is easy :) No messing with templates, just CSS.
It is possible to have 2 images and brake them with <br/> tag without space.

Are you using some standard theme?

It is strange, because I try it with default theme and it works ... (xoops 2.0.13.1 and news 1.21)

There is a rescue.php file in protector/admin dir ...

Don't know, but couldn't you just edit your mainfile.ini back to exclude the protector precheck and postcheck?

The font is called 04B_03B.ttf. There was a template somewhere called "ModuleBadges.zip", but file may be broken, so here is a temp link:

Probably you will have to edit your block template and/or theme CSS file. Is the site online?
