Could you provide more specific information about your update procedures? What version of XOOPS were you running before you attempted the update? Did you follow the instructions to the letter-including deleting the profilefields.tmp file from your cache folder prior to updating?

To set the leftcolumn, rightcolum, center column and center blocks width you have to edit those areas of your css file.

This is the default css and you can see that the left and rightcolumns are set to a fixed width of 165px and the center left and right blocks are set to 50% of the remainder for the centercolumn.

td#leftcolumn {width: 165px;height:560px;font-size:11px;background-color: #f7f7f7;padding: 10px 3px 4px 3px;}
td#leftcolumn th {background-color: #436792; color: #FFFFFF; vertical-align: middle;}
td#leftcolumn div.blockTitle {text-align: left;padding: 3px 3px 3px 22px; background-color: #436792;background-image:url(../images/item_new.gif);background-position: left;background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #f7f7f7; font-weight: bold;}
td#leftcolumn div.blockContent {padding: 3px; line-height: 120%;}

td#leftcolumn_nobg {width: 160px;height:560px; font-size:11px;background-color: #ffffff;padding: 20px 5px 5px 5px;}

td#centercolumn {font-size: 11px;}

td#centercolumn th {background-color: #436792; color: #FFFFFF; vertical-align: middle;}
td#centerCcolumn {padding: 0px 3px 1px 3px;}
td#centerCcolumn legend.blockTitle {padding: 3px; color: #639ACE; font-weight: bold; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 0px;}
td#centerCcolumn div.blockContent {margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-bottom: 2px; line-height: 120%;}

td#centerLcolumn {width: 50%; padding: 0px 3px 0px 0px;}
td#centerLcolumn legend.blockTitle {padding: 3px; color: #639ACE; font-weight: bold; margin-top: 0px;}
td#centerLcolumn div.blockContent {padding: 3px; margin-left: 3px; margin-right: 2px; margin-bottom: 2px; line-height: 120%;}

td#centerRcolumn {width: 50%; padding: 0px 3px 0px 0px;}
td#centerRcolumn legend.blockTitle {padding: 3px; color: #639ACE; font-weight: bold; margin-top: 0px;}
td#centerRcolumn div.blockContent {padding: 3px; margin-left: 2px; margin-right: 3px; margin-bottom: 2px; line-height: 120%;}

div#content {text-align: left; padding: 8px;}

td#rightcolumn {width: 165px; height:550px;background-color: #f7f7f7; font-size:11px;padding: 10px 2px 4px 4px;}
td#rightcolumn th {background-color: #436792; color: #FFFFFF; vertical-align: middle;}
td#rightcolumn div.blockTitle {text-align: left;padding: 3px 3px 3px 22px; background-color: #436792;background-image:url(../images/item_new.gif);background-position: left;background-repeat: no-repeat; color: #f7f7f7; font-weight: bold;}
td#rightcolumn div.blockContent {padding: 3px; line-height: 120%;}

Please tell me... Sometimes I can be really sloooooow.

I am running 2.2.3a. I want to upgrade to the 2.2.4 patch.

What exactly do I do when it comes to the install folder? In one place I read where it eludes to my situation and appears I am suppose to upload it with everything else and leave it. Do I run it? Do I delete it after running it? ???

Another place I read where I am suppose to upload it, not run it and delete it then update my system, pm and etc.

Please de-conflict this for me/us. Thanks

P.S. Many thanks to all who worked on update!

I am not familiar with mysite.com and this is only an idea I thought of while reading your request.

Some servers don't use home/src etc. For example mine uses something like: home/public_html/ for the root type path to my directories. You may want to check this out. If you have already then just disregard this message.

In could also be a matter of a missing {if} in your theme.html just after the Display Left Blocks.

Take a look at this thread and see if it helps get rid of that left panel when there are no blocks visible in the left blocks.

Try refreshing the page. If that doesn't work try going to Administration System Preferences GeneralSettings and toggle down to bottom and just press GO to clear template_c. Then go to your Admin System Modules and scroll down to see if they are showing up.

I have XOOPS V2.2.3a.

I have downloaded the packages for this version too. I have not installed the bulletin board yet basically out of concern but mostly because I can't even figure out if the one that came with the v2.2.3a Community Package is even the right one. And just when I thought I figured it out I find updates to CBB which I thought I downloaded with the Community Pack. I double checked the package and it show a module for NEWBB and when I checked the version.php it says it is NEWBB v 2.2.

Could someone please help clear this up for me? I have searched around but honestly, all that has done is made me more confused!

I am using these with XOOPS V 2.2.3a and they seem to be working great! Many thanks to The Cat and authors for the SPAM Buster by adding the Verification.

I will leave these available for a few days. Someone else initially started these but they were not quite completely translated when I downloaded them today so I just wanted to give a little back to the community and finished them up.

You will still have to modify certain aspects of the files to suit your particular needs. ie; I used the US State Flags and have the sign up form modified to show State instead of Country where the user would select where they are from.

RAR:
XFGuestbook V2.30RC2 English RAR file

ZIP:
XFGuestbook V2.30RC2 English Defines ZIP

Hope I linked these correctly and this helps some people out...

Looks like calling cgi files in an IFRAME of a custom module like with MYPAGE won't work. Wouldn't load my top menu or my footer and did not display right blocks either. I took out the IFRAME src and my top menu displayed again and my footer displayed.

Another module for wrapping content will probably have to be used which will work and wrap cgi files.

P.S. Thanks for the width info, I always thought it was both.. Learn something new all the time.

You can go into your administration menu to system modules.

Find the installed Content module and set it to "0" (without the quotes). This will hide it from the Main Menu.
