Sailjapan and Ghia thanks for responding. Yesterday I was determined to get this fixed, so I went and gone through any meaningfull CSS file and html template to find and fix the solution. I did manage to straighten it out, it was a combination of CSS calls and settings in a table that messed things up. There was a relative setting that should not have been relative and using the code /code commands blew the text right of the screen. This I have not been able to fix, I do not know why. Instad I am using the quote /quote now, wich was messed up also, but that has been fixed.

Thanks for responding though!

Thanks for the tip Noo-b.

Already had it included, but not sure if I'm gonna release it, since the
x-reaggregator module already supports this feature. (showing RSS feeds inside a block).

Thanks!

Charly

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that by building the Xurl module, we have also included (as far as I know ) the first Twitter module for XOOPS.
On our website we have it running, but we still need to do some stuff with it.
For users this mean they can update their Twitter log from within their website.
Developers might include it at the bottom of their modules and allowing users to send the modules content with links to the users Twitter account.

It should be available for download soon.
Cheers!

Charly

I think the problem is related to CSS.
On many occasions (having problems with posts in Xforum currently) I set all the correct values for width etc, but depending on how the CSS file is setup, some other settings might have priority over the ones you set.
CSS is all nice and fine, but on large websites, with many modules, you have so many CSS files to go through and it is very hard to find what setting is causing what problem.

My current Theme in conjuction with Xforum is giving me some real problems and I just cannot figure out where it comes from. Big pain!

Actually one last thing that might help you pinpoint the problem.
I did receive a correct mail (as webmaster) that harry has registered (although he did not click on the activation link).
I also got a Undelivered Mail Return to Sender message for the mail that was to be sent to Harry.
This was the error :

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For
further assistanceplease send mail to <postmaster>

If
you do soplease include this problem reportYou can delete your own text from the attached returned message.

Yes I am.
Also noticed that although the settings are that a user needs to receive an email with the link to activate, the user is registered immediately.
Also.. the default timezone is set to Amsterdam.. blah blah.. but in the registration fields it is set back to London..blah blah..

Should I make profile inactive?

I've noticed that on a clean 2.4 install (UTF-8 charset) when a user registers it fails. This is because the aphostrophies are around the input fields. So if e.g. Harry registers it becomes 'Harry' and is emailaddress 'harry@msn.com'.
A confirmation mail is send to
&#039harry@msn.com&#039
with username
&#039harry&#039.

Of course.. all fails.

Hi again Trabis,

Unfortunately it is not in the tutorials, but I dit find this one:
http://www.xoopscube.gr/repository/ModuleBuilding.pdf

Should get me underway

Quote:
Preferences page are handled by the system module. All you to do is populate xoops_version with the configs you need. It should be on those tuts.
