I need some advice concerning the module WRAPS.

I'm using it to pagewrap my existing website into Xoops.

Wraps does not have the comments or notifications from the XOOPS core incorporated into it.

My question is, is there a command or link that I can put into the html pages that are being wrapped, that would invoke the comments and notifications?

I have the Random Quotes module installed and it appears at the bottom of all the wrapped pages. This made me think that maybe there was something I could code onto the pages to call for the comments and notifications parts of the XOOPS core.

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Thanks
Frank

It's obvious that the current settings are for a XOOPS site with only one menu column (side block left). I figured out how to change the image size on your page.

In the usermap directory /modules/usermap/ it the file styles.css

The first set of comments are

div#guestmap {
position:relative;
background-color: #ddd;
width:720px;
height:470px;
border: solid 1px #ccc;
text-align:left;

That's the settings for the image size on the page. I found that the setting

div#guestmap {
position:relative;
background-color: #ddd;
width:565px;
height:470px;
border: solid 1px #ccc;
text-align:left;

Works perfect for a site with side block left and side block right. It put the image right square in the center of the page between the blocks, without pushing the right block out of the picture (like the original settings do).

Frank

Nice Module

I have 2 questions.

1) How can I adjust the size of the iframe?
2) Can you drag n drop instead of havingthe iframe scroll bars.
3) Does anyone have a background image with borders in it..

I guess that's 3 questions

Thanks
Frank

Hi

Thanks for the offer, but that won;t do what I want. I get that information from my statcounter, not from registered users.

Thanks anyway

No. Nothing like guestmap. A plain list, like what's on my site now.

I'm looking for a module that sounds pretty easy. I thought maybe someone could recommend one to me.

I have an area on my current site called "Where Are You?"

It's a list of countries, with their flags, and underneath is a list of cities in each country. This represents where my subscribers are.

Right now it's hard coded html, using tables. I just add a table row and table data when I add a new city or country.

I would like to do the same thing with XOOPS when my new site goes live.

So, does anyone know of a module that might do this? Something easy? Maybe a current module is available that I can change the text on?

One record per country, also showing the country flag in the title, and I can just add the cities in the text box when I need to?

To see what I am doing now you can go to www.franksrecipes.com/where.html

Thanks
Frank

I tried installing the complete file you referred me to on your site. I created a blank database using phpmyadmin and did the install, or rather didn't do the install.

I got Carbonize to look at the config.inc.php, and he accessed my machine and checked my subdirectories. According to him, everything is correct and he can't understand why it's not finding the database.

Anything else I can do? It's not even installing so I don't get to any point of receiving an activation email

Thanks
Frank

I finally figured it out. The key washttp://localhost/xoops/

Looking through the subdirectories I noticed admin.php. I typed that into the address bar at the end ofhttp://localhost/xoops/ . It took me to the first screen you see when you first install Xoops. I clicked on ok, and got into the admin section. After that it works fine

Thanks for all the help Guys! I really appreciate it.

Frank

Did all that McDonald. Still nothing. As soon as I log in I get a blank screen, with the urlhttp://localhost/xoops/ in the addressbar.
