Yes/No

Host recently changed IP, but site has been working until I installed the NEWBB2.0.2 version.

I've removed the newbb and still getting the message.

---------------------

If someone just knows a fix...

I've already updated the XOOPS from latest ver to latest ver and updated. I thought I might have a corrupted XOOPS file or something.

-------------------

If it's a server side issue, any suggestions for what to ask my host?

-------------------

Honest injun, everything was working until newbb2. When I tried to apply a couple of the blocks for recent posts, etc. and then went to groups to permit them I got the message for the first time.

When I phpdebug I get the same message, and if I try to admin.php around it the screen goes white and just keeps blinking...like it's trying to load or find something. \\

I haven't installed the newbb2, because I'll have to wipe the IPBs. I'm OK with that, but I do need to make sure I have enough admin features.

Also, I need to have a full page of forums. I don't need the left or right columns. The header is fine, just need more space for the forums.

Since Invision is now Freeware/Payware I'm planning to move to either the XOOPS Newbb2 or PHPBB2.

I realize:

BBPIxel makes a module for PHPBB, but currently it's not using the latest PHPBB. Koudanshi does a good job, but it is a tough task keeping up with all the changes the original developer makes.

Newbb2 is designed around XOOPS core newbb, which definitely has the compatability thing well done. I've not tried it, because I haven't worked a site that needed a boards for some time. I'd be interested to read some insights on the management of the Newbb2 boards, as compared to the Invision/PHPBB boards.

The latest version of PHPBB 2+ is well supported and competent for boards. I know it would be a standalone requiring a multiple login, but updates from PHPBB could definitely be applied quickly. The database would be additional, but I'm thinking it might be best to get out of the loop with third party mod builders. THat is, especially when you want to keep the boards secure and up to date.

I'm asking for some thoughts or comments on these boards for use on XOOPS sites.

Thanks

I've been using the WF-downloads since about August last year and there haven't been any upgrades or changes that I know of.

Is anyone aware of when or if the WF Downloads is getting upgraded or otherwise improved.

I still have a few problems with it, which I won't go into because it is working.

There hasn't been much activity on the WF projects site, so I thought I just ask here.
