There's an anti-leaching function for the downloads module of XOOPs.

If you use it though, you might want to check out the warning message that comes up for the person trying to access the resource. It's pretty hostile so you might want to tone it down a bit.

You can change the default comment display mode to flat in administration/preferences/general settings.

This works for new members (anyone who signs up later on), but I don't think it will alter the setting for your existing members (at least, it didn't on my set up). If you don't have many you can change the setting for each one manually in admin/preferences/edit users.

I don't know how to do everyone at once. You could probably tell mySQL to do it for you but I'm still trying to get a handle on that.

A completed WAP module would be nice I love the Avantgo module, but most of my users have phones, not PDAs.

but why are there SO many more phpnuke usersThere really doesn't seem to be any 'killer apps' or more themes..or more modules for phpnuke...

I think its just an age thing. Awareness of XOOPs is still relatively low, a lot of people just haven't heard of it. When I first mentioned it to my colleagues the first thing they said was 'what ?!?', and the second was 'wow'. The user base will grow very quickly as more sites come online and word spreads.

Also, a lot of the reviews of XOOPs available on the internet are old - they relate to XOOPs 1.

I think the background colour for that column is set in the theme.html file, not in the CSS, for some reason. If you change it there should be ok.

Many thanks, I've got it working now.

Working in the Mambo theme, changing the default table width (2nd line of css) to 99% still looked horrible. This had me stumped until I tried 90% and it looks ok. I must have a particularly awful version of IE 5.

In the Karate Redux Blue theme I only had to change default table width down to 97% for it to look good...so I'll probably run with that.

One strange thing is that not all of the elements are resizing in equal proportions - the spotlight block and the notifications block shrank a bit more than everything else.

Another thing I noticed about the two themes that do seem to work directly vs the rest (imago 2&5) is that they have i) explicitly specified a width for the centre-centre block and ii) its set at <100%.

I assume that themes that don't explicitly do i) would probably assign the default table value (100%) to centre-centre blocks...I wonder if this is the main hotspot of IE 5 problems ?

Hi

I'm not sure if this is exactly the same issue, but have a look at this thread. I'm pulling apart a few css that seem to work to try and find how they are different.

If you figure out a solution please let me know.

Thanks Sunsnapper.

Do I need to change it in just theme files (style.css and theme.html) ? Or do I need to adjust the templates under each module as well ?

With the PayPal system, it only seems to support certain countries (Thailand was not on the dropdown list).

Is it possible to include some other payment option for people elsewhere ?

Thanks

Thanks for your interest philou

When you say 'fix' the font values, do you mean I should specify a particular pixel size or font size ?

ie. not use settings like 'small' ?
