Is it possible to add RSS feeds to other modules (that don't already have them) ? Is this difficult to do ?

Try setting your top page to 'none', that will separate your news page from your home page.

If you make the 'recent news' block appear on your top page, that will give you the headlines only on your home page.

When you enter or edit news stories in news administration, you get two boxes - one for the 'intro text' and the other for 'extended text' (the full story). If you use both the boxes you then your news page should work pretty much the way you want - a list of short summaries, which link to full stories when you click.

Hmmm...I had to reduce the percentage down to 90% in some themes to stop the problem.

However, if you still can't fix it, you could upgrade your browser (IE 6 is ok, or Mozilla etc...just anything but IE 5 :)

Are you using Internet Explorer 5.X ? If so, have a look at this thread for the problem and some solutions.

Also, check out the Wiki, there's an annotated guide to the default CSS in there, you should be able to find the bit you want to change pretty easily.

I have this problem with displaying download file size as well. I think I found some posts once that said it was a bug in the myDownloads module (I think they also said it would be fixed in the next version).

However, I've also noticed that it definitely works on some sites - so somebody out there must know how to fix it

There's a nice installer bundle called Appserv that does all the hard work for you - installs the Apache server, PHP and mySQL for you in one go, removes a lot of headaches.

Then you just install XOOPs to your local Appserv/www/ directory, and away you go.

Hi

I can't help you with code, but couldn't you could achieve the same thing through the groups system ?

ie make the login block visible to anonymous users but invisible to registered users; and make the user menu invisible to anonymous users, but visible to registered users. Give both blocks the same weighting and they should appear in the same place.

Sounds great

Any chance of including support for electronic books ? I know I can use the myDownloads module for this (and we don't lend them as such, we give them away), but it would still be nice to be able to organize electronic publications with fields like author, ISBN, and other publication-type things.
