I looked at those, and what I'm looking for is something where I can call a URL likehttp://mysite/showblock.php&block=56 and have it give me the block contents w/o the rest of the site stuff.

I'll probably work out a separate page for my module to work the output required.

XOOPS block for use in an iframe

I'm not quite sure how to do this just yet, but I've had question about putting taking a XOOPS block and displaying it individually.

The idea is to take the said block and incorporate that in an iFrame for another page. Is there a way within XOOPS to do this, or would something like this best left to a be written up as a special module?

Trabis,

I read through the rather verbose article there, and it seems that the whole point behind the series of rants is "SEO". While I do appreciate the site's take on standards to make optimization easier to do, they are way, way too hung up on it.

Then again, where I sit in a page rank doesn't matter so much to me when people search for me or my stuff. I also don't run a commercial site either.

Is there going to be a method or policy where only the latest version of a module is going to appear in the repository? There are some modules that have multiple releases in the repository and I find that blocks out other modules which might not update so frequently.

I had an idea for this since you've got the framework mostly built. Since this switches things up based on a domain name, would it be possible to switch things up based on a user agent?

The reason I'm asking is because it would be sweet to be able to change things if for instance, a mobile web client was being used. For example, the full client on my smartphone is HTC-8500/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 6.8) UP.Link/6.3.1.20.06.3.1.20.0.

Then again, I wonder if it would be easier to issue a redirect to mobile.myxoops.site based on a UA, and maybe make a standalone module to handle that forwarding. Thoughts?

I'm not sure how 1&1 works, but with my webhost, they put my web spaces under a public_html/site directory by default. What I did was then create an unpublic_html directory following a similar structure and put the xoops_data and xoops_lib directories under there.

[img] tag not processed in signature.

I'm hoping someone has run into this problem before and has a quick fix.

I'm running XOOPS 2.3.2b on one of my sites and for some reason unknown to me, when myself or other users try to include an image in the signature, the [img] tag isn't being processed and is just showing up as code in the signatures. Admittedly, I didn't try adding an image until recently.

I am able to use the signature on one of my module development sites w/o any problem ... as well as here.

The site in question ishttp://www.powerfrag.fm . In the forums, the "First Post" thread doesn't have signatures, but rather just the code.

I figure I'm missing something really minor here.
