I was playing with the latest 2.1 nightly build and have a couple of questions.

1. What will happen with users who currently have the same real name during an upgrade from 2.0 to 2.2? I for example have at least 7 Erins...

2. Will a mechanism to deal with users whose Real name field was left blank be available? Again keeping in mind the upgrade from 2.0 to 2.2.

3. Webmasters are not able to see the username of a user when visiting a the user's profile page. I think this info should be available to webmasters. I would like also to assign this right to some groups in my site.

4. Will the following prefernces continue to exist in 2.2: 'Allow new user registration?', 'Allow users to change email address?', 'Select activation type of newly registered users'? I'm not able to find them now... but maybe I'm not looking at the right places. :)

Ergh... I have seen that one. In my cases it was always because I had a poor connection and the css files did not download.

Just in case check whether the css files are not missing or the links to those in theme.html are not correct.

Perhaps check whether <{$xoops_module_header}> is at its correct position in the header of theme.html. Some of the modules you have might be using it to send custom css. But still I don't see how it would affcet your background.

No ideas other than that.

Just upload the templates folder in modules/system from a freshly downladed XOOPS and from System Admin >> Modules update the System module. It should recompile the templates for the System module. Do this for every module you need the default template set recompiled and inserted into the DB.

If you use a custom template set as a default you'll have after that to go to System Admin >> Templates and delete and regenerate one by one every file in the set you are using.

Edit: Btw, download the 2.0.10 from here:

http://www.bbtb.co.uk/uploads/Xoops-2.0.10.zip

It seems that something happened to the repository at sourceforge and the file there is not... available or accurate or whatever. Read it here:

Interesting. I had exactly the same visit the same day in my Protector logs. But I never got any iframes.

Seems that GIJOE has just released a test version of the Sitemap module with this feature added.

The news for it:

You are using a custom template set. So delete via the Template Set Manager every template for the forums in your template set. Then in the Template Set Manager you'll have a generate link for the forums for your template set. Generate them and it will be alright. You'll possibly have to do this type of thing every time you update to new version of the forums.

BTW, those 3 files would still show as missing but don't bother about them. It's not really a bug.

Make sure in the theme.html of the problem themes that this tag:

<{$xoops_module_header}>

exists and is positioned this way:

<{$xoops_module_header}>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
<{$xoops_js}>
//-->
</script>
</head>
