Hello Herko,

I have read the whole thing and now I did again thinking I have might missed something but the only thread about modifying .htaccess I can find is following. But that only is for sub directories and not sub domains or parked domains. Since I don't have access to httpd.conf on a shared host I was wondering if there is something which will work.
Maybe this will work for sub domains or parked domains as well in some form but I don't know that.

-----------------------
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /<sub-dir>/
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1

replace <sub-dir> with the folder name and your domain for your domain name (note. in my example i presume the main installation is in the root directory and each seperate site is in a sub directory)

so for my site i have the following:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /wwcn_uk/
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.my-domain.com/$1

Just what I needed, thank you much Mithrandir and all other contributers. Having to upgrade multi sites had become a pain long ago.

Anyway has anydody tried this with sub-domains or parked domains on a shared host jet? And what did you have to put in to .htaccess?

Need a little help, please.

Here is what I did:

1- Installed Addresses module by Onokazu https://xoops.org/modules/repository/singlefile.php?cid=81&lid=1101

2- in header.php added include
After this:
include "../../mainfile.php";
Added this:
include XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/modules/cdm/include/defines.php";

3- Then in submit.php
After this:
include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/include/xoopscodes.php";
Added this:
require_once CDM_PATH."/class/class.cdm.form.php";

And after this:
$country = $myts->makeTboxData4Save($HTTP_POST_VARS["country"]);
Added this:
$state = new CDMFormSelectUSStates('Select a State','state');

4- In class.cdm.form.php
After this:
class CDMFormSelectCountry extends CDMFormSelect {
function CDMFormSelectCountry($caption, $name, $value=null, $size=1, $lang=CDM_DEF_LANG) {
$this->CDMFormSelect('COUNTRY', $caption, $name, $value, $size, $lang);
}
}
Added this:
class CDMFormSelectUSStates extends CDMFormSelect {
function CDMFormSelectUSStates($caption, $name, $value=null, $size=1, $lang=CDM_DEF_LANG) {
$this->CDMFormSelect('USStates', $caption, $name, $value, $size, $lang);
}
}

The I to the insert into state,%s and $state // I am not sure if I needed that.
$sql = sprintf("INSERT INTO %s (lid, cid, title, adress, zip, city, state,country, phone, mobile, fax, contemail, opentime, url, logourl, submitter, status, date, hits, rating, votes, comments) VALUES (%u, %u, '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', %u, %u, %u, %u, %u, %u, %u)", $xoopsDB->prefix("addresses_links"), $newid, $cid, $title, $adress, $zip, $city, $state, $country, $phone, $mobile, $fax, $contemail, $opentime, $url, ' ', $submitter, $status, $date, 0, 0, 0, 0);

Now don't I need th make a change to the addresses_submit.html file. I would think so.
Anyway I am stuck, please help.

I have setup some forms for my users this is not any usefull to anybody else so I am not concidering making it a full module.

My understanding is that I have to do following steps to integrate it in to xoops.

1) Move my tables in to the XOOPS database.
2) Include mainfile.php on top of my pages
3) Include footer.php on the end of my file.
4) create a folder in modules & upload my files there.
5) Create a new block for my links to each file

Will this work?
What I need is to use the Global Variables, check user name and user group.

<{$xoops_isuser}> - 1 userlogged in, 0 anonymous user
<{$xoops_uname}> - User name
etc.

In the future I might need the XOOPS comments system but that is not a must.

Hi seams one of my modules is not working right.

This is the source code I am getting in the frontend:
<CENTER><H2>Error: it was not specified the protocol type argument</H2><CENTER>
Erreur EMAIL PANEL

Was wondering how I can log in to the backend when the frontend is not working so I can get turn that module off.

Thanx in advance

PS: Also if you know which module is doing this, please let me know.

My side has a rather large chase some thing like 3,000,000

All kind but most files are piCal files

Is that normal, or should I clear the chase once in a while?
