I'd like to use a forum post exchange service by AdminFusion called PostFusion - unfortunately, they currently do not support XOOPS/CBB (newBB). Sadly, while it's a free service (apart from you having to post to other people's forums), the source code is closed, so I can't modify it myself.

I have had a discussion with an admin there (which you can read here) and basically, if there's enough interest, they will look into supporting the XOOPS/CBB community.

This is a service I would really like to try out, and from their own stats, they reckon they have exchanged 45,480 posts over 677 forums, so it looks like it's worth a try.

So, I ask that anyone who's interested in improving traffic to their site to visit PostFusion for more details and post in the feature request forum to show there's interest in their service from the XOOPS community.

I've come across this problem myself - basically you have to disable auto line breaks and format paragraphs, etc., manually.

phppp, if no one has done so yet, it would be worth one of the devs to write to security focus to update the report. It would both allay people's fears and be good for XOOPS's, showing that you take these reports seriously, check them out and respond to them.

PiCal (doesn't seem to have a time function)
extCalendar (no recurring events)
AM Events (no time, I think, I forget why it didn't work well)

AM Events does have times, but no recurring events, yet. It is on the "to do" list and will be in a future release.

If you have any suggestions/feature requests/bug reports they can be submitted to the support forums.

It seems there is indeed a problem there.

Are the categories you are having problems with top level categories, or sub categories (and if so, how far down are they)?

Thanks :)

As for the permissions problem, I don't really know what could be causing it yet. I've not had any other reports of it, etc.

What version of XOOPS are you using, and do you get error messages with PHP debugging turned on?

For me, it was because I had forgotten that I had recently updated and recompiled the server's kernel with quota support enabled (it's on a FreeBSD server, and quota support isn't in the default kernel, which seems a bit daft IMHO).

As a result, when I backed up the site, the backup file pushed the site over its quota allowance, causing XOOPS to fail in writing the files to templates_c/

I'd definitely like to see the spoiler tag included - I've had to hack one of my sites for this, and it's a tad irksome to have to keep doing it with updates.
