Did you delete the files in the template_c directory?

You mean this? :

Quote:
5) Optional: (If you want to switch the news by selecting language)
This optional hack switches the 'Topic' in the News using 'storytopic'.

The 'storytopic' of the built-in topic named as 'XOOPS' is '1'.
If you make a new topic in News admin, then the 'storytopic' of it is '2'.

If you use '1' for English and '2' for French, edit XOOPS_DIR/modules/news/index.php.

nearby line 35
change from
$xoopsOption['storytopic'] = 0;
to
global $xoopsConfig;
if ($xoopsConfig['language'] == "english"){$xoopsOption['storytopic'] =1;} else {$xoopsOption['storytopic'] = 2;}

I tried to visit your site a few times and got error messages (can't connect to database) before I succeeded.
Now, I have the same problems. Sometimes when I want to post something, I have to type real fast (without thinking) because otherwise I'm allready thrown out and have no rights to post. So I must type in the post again...haha
I have not yet found out what exactly is the problem, because it happens not on a regular base. So, maybe it could have something to do with time outs of XOOPS accessing the database?

In the PHP4U/Mysql menu you can first select the Agenda X records in the dump menu. Select a dump of structure and data in the select box and choose "send". Now a sql file will be transferred to your hard disk.
Then (on the destination database) choose in the menu "processing SQL-queries" for a text-file and browse on your hard disk. Double click on the saved sql-file will start the process of entering data in your destination database. (This may take a while so drink a cup of coffee or something )
Because my menu is in Dutch, the names I gave you may differ. Good Luck

Hi Herko,
I'm also very interested in this multilingo thing. Now I have only two languages, but in the future maybe more.
If it is possible I would like to have it all in one database, because when I want more then one database I have to pay more to my host company. More databases means to me also more work, because I have to make my own backups (the host doesn't do that on a regular base)
2) I would like to have a possibility to include html files without problems. Now I have to try many modules, none of them fits my needs. From what I've read on this site it seems to be difficult, but anyway that's what I want.
3) A deeper look into security issues on one hand, making it easier for users (like autologin) on the other hand.
4) An extension of the groups right system, giving the admin more flexibility.

Maybe silly question, but in the administration/modules menu you can set each module to visible or invisible. Maybe you could check this

About a week ago the database of my testsite at tripod was 'damaged' because the host had problems with hardware.
Maybe you should look if the database is still Ok, or restore a backup if you have one.

Hi Herko
Thnx, for the reply.
But as you might know : every reply gives more questions (but that can be a conviction/belief of me haha)
So question :
How can I find out if/if not my host Lycos supports SSI?
