Here's the thread Mith opened for his multi-site hack:
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=42937&forum=14
And there's also download link you'll find there. And guess what - the place you find it is in the 'XOOPS Core Hacks' forum

Thanks again McNaz! In my opinion it's a really usable hack cause giving XOOPS admins more power in ordering site content which in many cases comes needed. I've just inherited this hack on the site I'm administrating and then looked for it deeply to reproduce it on a local testing site. Sure your hack on 2.2.3 will be usable to me too for upgrading some day or for needed new sites And to many other xoopsers too..

RDF/RSS files are a kind of XML files which content is generated automaticaly with the recent news of a news site/blog/forum/etc for example. You have to give its link to the headline module so it to display the headlines it has on your page. As xml files RDF/RSS typically has an rdf/rss/xml extention, or can be generated by a script language like php, etc.
To uninstall a module you go through 2 steps - first make it inactive and second uninstall it. You do it from your Administration modules preferences page.
Take a look at XOOPS FAQ here on XOOPS org or search for some XOOPS tutorials mentioned here around, like XOOPS for Dummies! There you'll find the answers of a lot of questions.

hallo xoopers, as i know this was the way the XOOPS system reacted when you deleted some kind of admin section template file from one of the template_c or cache directory (even not sure which one of them it was)? or am i'm missing sth here? mean it's not a real problem at all, everything should be working as it was before

You can find a Groups preferences menu in your admin area - in 2.0.x you'll find it at Administration -> System Admin -> Groups and in 2.2.x at Administration Menu -> Users -> Groups. There above you'll find a list of all your user groups. Just click on Modify next to Anonymous Users and you'll see a lot of boxes for all your modules and blocks. Check the blocks you want to be visible for your anonymous users and press the Update Group button below.

Ham, I should have done what you did now McNaz, i.e. to post a link to a package with the hacked files, when I did mention it here before (the hack for extra blocks in theme)

and here the block admin area:
Resized Image

As it seems it's it - just those 3 files + the language file. But it's only the way the block system on 2.0.x does it, still haven't tried to achieve it on 2.2.x. Wish you have time for it cause it's a really worth hack!

and sorry all for the stretch because of long link

What maybe all the news modules are doing is cuting the number of symbols displayed in the blocks and topic page, not the number of words cause it would be much harder to be achieved I think. Not familiar with AMS module but surely it's doing the same. And if there's no option in module preferences for this number, then it should be hardcoded in the scripts. That's from me but maybe s.o. else will be able to help you with a hack for what you need.

feels good when work is successfully done
it should work fine because it overrides the global styling rules you got somewhere in your css files. And in such case, when a css rule is on, giving just an htmp property (like border='2') to your img tag does not works because it's less powerful than the css properties. :)

Not a broken patch I'd say, just that version file droped out when packaging first time. In the first patch package that was linked from here one file was missing and when users turned attention of it here in the forums it has been repackaged and it's ok now.
