It would appear the issue is within the theme files.

Does this happen with all themes or just the custom theme you have now?

To start a forum you will need module cbb or newbb The latest version is 3.08 available here. You may also need to download and install frameworks to get it working. Make sure you read the 'readme.txt' files they explain how to install it to your site.

I fear the list of people we don't like would be quite long

I think you are asking about hosting?

There have been a couple of threads started about hosting. There are a number of companies that will provide with MySql database(s) and support php.

I have hosted a couple of websites on my server, until the traffic outgrew the bandwidth, then I moved to a another host that can support the traffic I was experiencing.

Most of the hosting companies will provide you with a means to create the MySql database. Then you will want to upload (ftp) the XOOPS files to web directory that you will use for your web site.

If you haven't already done so, please read the documentation It explains how to install Xoops

I have a Hp deskjet 812C that I do most of my printing on. (one to five pages) However I have a number of different printers that I can use for different jobs, including a Okadata 27pin dot matrix, I use it wit fan fold paper when I am working Radio Teletype.

I like the color scheme, as it seems to fit the mood of the web site. The pictures are well done and placed very nicely within the website.

generally, I dislike using text in pictures especially for icons, however you have done a nice job, working the text as a part of the icon, well done.

I found navigation fairly easy, with the exception of the home page. I now know it is the on/off button on the keyboard. You might consider a text on that button indicating that button will take you to home.

While I like the keyboard/menu at the top, as it fits well with the overall theme of the website I found it fairly large. Consider working with other layouts.

Overall, job well done. The site conveys the message in a clear, easy to understand way. The content is presented elegantly without being too busy.

I agree, you should upgrade to the latest version.

I upgraded three of my sites recently with no problem. You want to download the full installation package and follow the steps listed in the release_notes.txt file. You can down load the file here.. Of course you want to put your website & database in reverse and back it up before any upgrades

Now back to issue at hand.

I am looking for a newsletter module for my XOOPS 2.013.2 site...

I know the SmartFactory was working on the smartmailer; the latest version I found was 0.8 Alpha. I an not sure how far along they have gotten with this module.

evennews is available through the Module Repository. with generally favorable comments.

You also might consider posting your request for this module at XoopsInfo website as well.

I hope this helps you find what you are looking for.

I believe you can.

There is a downgrade script that you can use.

In my personal experience, by the time I got around to the downgrade, too many people with too many permissions tried to fix what wasn't broke. To make a long story short. I ended up trashing the database and start from scratch. The lesson that I learned, keep a tight reign on the permissions.

I at one time downloaded version 2.2.2 and put it straight to the 'production' site without any testing, and I paid the price. That was before I seen This article.

You might want to try version 2.0.16 it seems to be the most stable version to date. You down load it from here.
